The scripture we are using to pray this week is from 1 Corinthians 15:10 ESV, and it says “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” What is God’s grace in this context? Gods unlimited capacity to be and do all things. Let us pray for our children
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Galatians 2:20 (NKJV), which says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” How sweet and powerful will it be for our children to walk in the revelation of the life Jesus' death and resurrection purchased for them!
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Romans 1:21 ESV, “For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” You might be a devoted lover of God but does your child know Jesus? Like the scripture says in Romans 1:21, our children may be religiously familiar with God but their heart may be far from Him to honor, adore, and truly worship Him. Pray that your child will be a worship in spirit and in truth.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Romans 10:17, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” To hear God, Moses went on the mountain, Daniel fasted and refused the Kings’ sweets, David praised God seven times a day, Jesus retreated and prayed all night long, Joash had a godly mentor, Timothy served Paul. Praying that your child will live a life that is conducive for God to speak.
Welcome to the boymomunited podcast prayerline. The scripture we are using to pray this week is from John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” The last part of the John 10:27 says, “and they follow me” what a loaded line! Pray that your child will follow the Lord.
Welcome to the boymomunited podcast prayerline. The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Proverbs 4:1, “Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding” At a time when all manner of things that are competing with our spiritual attentiveness, we must warfare for our children to hear and be attentive to the voice of the Father.
Welcome to the boymomunited podcast prayerline. The word for this week is from Isaiah 30:21 and here it goes in English Standard Version; “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” And your ears shall hear a word behind you – brings bodyguards or the secret service to mind – how they always have something in the ear? And often stand behind their delegate? How strategic of God to say “you will hear behind you” Think about it, He is saying, I got your back! Let us pray..
Welcome to the boymomunited podcast prayerline. Boymomunited is a prayer altar to lift up the destinies of our children. The scripture we are using to pray this week is from 1 Thessalonians 5:23, “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” May the sanctification of God protect, purify and prevent the soul from sin and defilement. AMEN!
Welcome to the boymomunited podcast prayerline. The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Mark 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from 3 John 2, “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul”
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Psalm 103:1 (ESV), and it says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!”
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Isaiah 26:3 and it says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Our children are confronted with multiple distractions from different corners these days. Isaiah 26:3 is a command to direct and keep their minds on the Lord, that they make their focus in life the Lord, trusting Him.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” The essence of this scripture is that our thoughts should be holy – whole, purified, God glorifying. Let us pray for our children!
Welcome to boymomunited prayer podcast! The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Matthew 22:37 “And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is Jesus speaking directly to us about the the whole purpose of our being and existence, to love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and mind. Dwell on Jesus' words and pray for your child!
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Romans 12:2(ESV) “Do not be conformed to this world,[a] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Proverbs 13:3 “Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.” This scripture speaks to the control we must exert on our mouths and the discretion that must be exercised to live wholesomely.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is the Amplified version of Psalm 45:1, and it says, “My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my psalm to the King. My tongue is like the pen of a skillful writer.” That is, the state of the heart influences our output - both in focus and productivity. It aligns with what Jesus said in Matthew 15:18, “But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.” May the hearts of our children overflow with goodness, flowing out of their mouths! Amen
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Proverbs 18:21 which says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. This scripture is speaking to the authority we have to create and revive. The scripture points to the power that our words hold. I am reminded of Jeremiah 1:9-10, “Then the Lordreached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from James 3:13 KJV, “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.” This scripture is speaking to how people’s character can and should be reflected in the way they speak. We will be praying that our children will communicate in ways that glorify God.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth” The mouth is where the knowledge of the heart and of the mind is expressed. The use of the mouth is where influence on others is concerned. Declare that the mouth of your child will continually testify of God’s goodness.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Psalm 134:2, “Lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the Lord!” Why is lifting hands to the holy place to bless the Lord important? Because it depicts a life surrendered to the Lord. In many civilizations, people lift up their hands to law enforcement as a sign of surrender during a confrontation. Doing so, is one of the most effective ways to manage tension. If the show of hands depict surrender to an earthly authority, how about hands that are constantly lifted to the Most High?
Welcome to the boymomunited podcast prayerline. Boymomunited is a prayer altar to lift up the destinies of our children, particularly male children of African descent. However, we believe that given the potency of God’s word, these prayers will capture and uplift every child regardless of gender, race, or national origin.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Psalm 144:1 (AMP); Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my great strength, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle." The scripture/prayer this week addresses the use of the hands in battle and more specifically the Lord providing instruction and strategies for winning in life.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from 2 Chronicles 15:7, “But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” Jesus was nailed to the cross through his palms and feet - carrying and nailing the weight of the worlds’ sin to the cross. Our hands carry us because life’s work flow through it and nourishment flow from it to us – every time you put food in your mouth. be blessed!
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Psalm 37:31 “The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.” Our children’s stability and stamina in life depends on what the heart is made of! If the heart is filled with the word of God, there is stability but if it is void of the word of God there is imbalance.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Jer 29:13, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” This scripture (and I encourage you to meditate on Jer 29:11-14) reminds us that God is near – infact he wants to be near - he’s near to our children, he only asks that we seek him with all of heart.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Acts 13:22, which says, “And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ‘I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.” The key word here is ALL - in every area and every aspect of their lives, let us pray that our children will conform to God’s priorities and purposes.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Proverbs 4:23 (ESV), which says, “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life” The heart of the matter is this – the heart is symbolic of our wellbeing spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I believe that is why God uses it as the analogy ofour outcomes. Therefore let us pray for our children
This week we will be standing in place and in the gap speaking the sovereignty of our God over the nations! The scripture this week is from Psalm 97. We will declare the entire Psalm and proclaim the authority of God over our children and the lands of the earth!
The scripture this week is from Psalm 37:23 (AMP) “The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].” This scripture makes me think of having a guided tour vs navigating an unknown territory by oneself. On a guided tour, you will maximize the experience whereas you could end up lost finding your way on your own. May our children have God's guidance!
The scripture this week is from Proverbs 4:18 (ESV) and it says, “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” Like the Sun's impact progresses with the day, so should our children's path become clearer and better. Let us pray!
The scripture this week is from Psalm 18:36 (AMP) and it says, “You enlarge the path beneath me and make my steps secure, So that my feet will not slip” Imagine a path that is narrow, overgrown with bushes, and crooked, then the Lord stepping in, clearing it and widening it on both sides to make it more conducive for travel. Alleluia! The Lord is the waymaker!
The scripture this week is from Psalm 23:3b, and it says, “He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His names’ sake” Do you know how many people, families, cities, and nations lack righteous leaders? Can we imagine what our world would look like if every leader in every space and place on earth yielded to God’s leading in righteousness? Let us lift up our voices in adulation to a God who wants to lead and show our children what is right and just.
Therefore, let us speak life! The scripture for the week is from Luke 11:34, “Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness” God allowed Joseph to see who he was at a very young age, God knowing all the circumstantial obstacles he was going to face gave Him an insight of what was ahead. Let us pray that our children will and see clearly through God's eyes.
The scripture this week is from Ephesians 1:18 “having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,” The eyes of the hearts are the inner eyes, the secret witness that sustains truth and divine knowledge. Let us pray that the inner eyes of our children will be opened and enlightened. Amen
The scripture this week is from Genesis 13:14-15, “The Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, “Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever.” The Lord said, “Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are” My Lord! friends, our children must lift up their eyes and look beyond their environment, beyond the system, beyond this worldly order. Let us pray.
The scripture this week is from Genesis 21:19, “Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.”
The scripture this week is from Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
The scripture this week is from Psalm 65:11“You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with abundance” A crown is usually the last accessory that goes on because of where it sits, on top of the head. Interestingly it could be the most significant accessory that differentiates the wearer from others. Hence the crowning is very crucial and symbolic. Declare that the year of your child will be crowned!
The scripture this week is from 1 Peter 1:15, “but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,” Holiness means whole and complete, perfect in goodness and righteousness. Our God is perfect in all His ways. As such, may our children desire, receive, and reflect God’s holy nature in every area of their lives. Amen!
The scripture this week is from John 1:5 (ESV), “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” Let us declare that our children will shine. There is darkness lurking everywhere, the world is full of all manners of darkness but today we raise the light of God up and we declare that the light of God will flood through for our children in every dimension.
This week I am encouraging you to search for scriptures that speak about enjoying life, then use those scriptures to pray for your child and their specific needs. As an example, we declared Psalm 126:2 (ESV);
The scripture this week is from Psalm 122:1 (ESV), “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!” It is important that our children are accountable to righteous peers and leaders in their walk with God. In desiring abundance of godly counsel for our children, let us declare that at every junction and stage of life, the counsel of God will surround them.
The scripture this week is from Habakkuk 3:19 and the Amplified version says, “The Lord God is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet, And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]. A hind is a female deer that can place her back feet exactly where her front feet stepped. Not one inch off! In times of danger, she is able to run securely and not get “off track”. She is able to scale unusually high and difficult terrain to elude predators. Let us prophesy this capacity into the lives of our children.
The word for this week is from Isaiah 30:21 and here it goes in English Standard Version; “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” The definitive stance of this scripture and the tone of it communicates an assurance about God's resolve to give to our children instruction concerning their journey in life. Let us agree with His word in prayer
The scripture this week is from Jeremiah 17:8 (ESV), and it says,
The scripture this week is from Psalm 82:6, (AMP) “I said, “You are gods; Indeed, all of you are sons of the Most High” Let us pray that our children will be gods in the Most High God, not drawing attention to themselves but living as testaments of God's authority and power.
The scripture this week is from James 1:12(AMP) “Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” Temptations and trials come at our children in different forms and angles, there is no guarantee against them. Let us pray that our children will be like Jesus, Joseph, & Ruth who stood their ground in the face of temptations.
The scripture this week is from Ephesians 5:1, and the Amplified version says, “Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; I love how the scripture says “become imitators” of God, emphasizing the continuity of the journey. It also shows the intentionality behind imitating the Father. Let us pray that our children will become imitators of God, praying that every day they will consciously live to know and do what the father will do.
The scripture this week is from Ephesians 1:3, and the Amplified version says, “Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ,” After creating us in His image, God blessed us and the main reason Jesus died is to reconcile us to the Father and the blessing. Let us pray and claim for our children what is theirs!
The scripture this week is from Matthew 6:33, and it says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Simply put, the Kingdom of God is God’s will established on earth as it is in heaven. A positioning that is aligned with the vantage point of authority. Often in life it is easy to put everything else above the Kingdom because of our dependence on the physical and the natural – but alas! The Kingdom is first and foremost spiritual. Let us pray that our children will be kingdom minded!
The scripture this week is from 2 Peter 1:2, and it says, “May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” When I think of grace in the context of this scripture, I think of capacity, ability, and the opportunity to demonstrate them. Hence I believe 2 Peter 1:2 is referencing this particular grace as the capacity to know God and our Lord Jesus, the ability to know and walk in the ways of God, and the opportunity to live a life that reflects the nature of Christ.
The scripture this week is from Micah 6:8, and it says,
The scripture this week is from 2 Chronicles 2:13, and it says, Now I have sent a skilled man, who has understanding, Huram-abi..." Huramabi is best translated as the honorable one of his father. This week we will speak over our children, that they will be the honorable one of their heavenly father, possessing the Spirit and capacity to create, innovate, and solve problems!
The scripture this week is from Philippians 1:3, and it says, "I thank my God in all my remembrance of you" This week we are raising our voices and declaring! Declaring that all the remembrance of our children will well up thanksgiving within us. Declaring that the memory of our children will be pleasant with whomever they encounter. No matter the situation, we declare pleasantness and rejoicing by faith!
The scripture this week is from 1 Cor 8:3, and it says, But if anyone loves God, he is known by God” There are over 7billion people on earth, and God formed and knows each and everyone of us. However, there is a deeper knowing, an intimate acknowledgement that 1 Cor 8:3 is talking about. Let us pray that our children will love and seek God and will be known (acknowledged by God).
The scripture this week is from Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV), and it says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. If you want a plant to yield it’s fruit, it has to be nurtured as needed. This week we are praying that our children will be nurtured in the things of the Spirit and yielding fruit accordingly. Amen!
The scripture this week is from 1 Tim 6:20, and it says, “O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,” I cannot but marvel at the uniqueness of every single human being on earth, for example, the fact that no two people have the same fingerprint. This signifies the importance of every individual. Let us appreciate the design and preempted purpose of the Most High for our children.
According to Ephesians 2:10, "[Our Children] are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" The word workmanship indicates a level of detail, expertise, and attention spent to create something. And so our children were crafted, fashioned to do GOOD works - the fashioning is already completed! Let us agree with this scripture in prayer.
The scripture this week is from Joshua 1:3 (ESV), and it says, “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses”From Genesis to Revelation, we see examples of God sending people out to explore and possess new territories. Even Jesus came down to earth, his own creation, to repossess it for His kingdom and our benefit. God wants us to explore, enjoy, and glorify Him in the earth. Psalm 115:16 says, “The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind” Let us therefore pray for capacity to possess the land.
The scripture this week is from 3 John 2, and it says, “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” This week we are going to be praying for the total health and wellbeing of our children. Health is wealth as they say and without spiritual, physical, mental, and general wellbeing, it is impossible to be productive. We are also halfway through the year, so it’s a good time to take stock and speak perfect health to everything concerning our children.
The scripture this week is from Genesis 37:2 and it says, “These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was pasturing the flock with his brothers. He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father's wives. And Joseph brought a bad report of them to their father.” Even though Joseph was outnumbered, he refused to be lured into unrighteousness, instead he held himself accountable to God and those God has set over him. Joseph's choice is an example of godly differentiation - a purposeful determination to please God even when in the minority. Let us pray for this grace over our children, a resolve to stand out for Jesus.
This week we are praying from Psalm 78:72 and it says,
The scripture for the week is from 1 Kings 4:29-34 (ESV) , it says “And people of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.” We declare that our child is divinely equipped with solutions for situations, peoples, cultures, and nations.
The scripture for the week is from 1 Kings 3:9, “Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?” Solomon prayed, knowing that God has put him over His people. Solomon's request reveals his submission to the sovereignty of God over Israel (and all things). God was so pleased with Solomon’s request that he also gave him riches and honor. Let us pray that our children will be seekers of God's mind. Amen!
The scripture for the week is from Psalm 71:3 and it says,
The scripture for the week is from Luke 6:38 and it says, “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” The entirety of nature relies and functions on the principle of giving and receiving. If the Most High God, in all His sovereignty did not hold back from obeying this principle, how can we? How then, must we not earnestly desire and intercede that our children will walk in the revelation of giving from a place of love?
The scripture for the week is from Psalm 115:1, it says, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” As people created in God’s image, our children are also carriers of God’s glory and there is nothing God desires more than for His glory to be manifested in our children. Therefore we command the destinies of our children, "Arise, shine! for your glory is come!!"
The scripture for the week is from Psalm 65:4
The scripture for the week is from Proverbs 31:28a “Her children rise up and call her blessed;” We recently celebrated Mothers’ Day in the US, I believe the Lord wants us to pray about how our children relate to us. The rising up associated with this scripture signifies a posture of witnessing and boldly testifying about the righteous nature. Let us pray that our children will relate with us and every figure in their lives with spiritual understanding and wisdom.
The scripture for the week is from Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Many of our youth and grown-ups alike, are failing in strength these days. The times are difficult, and our children can easily cave into the pressure of the times if their strength is only dependent on the structures that this world has to offer. Let us pray that the Lord will be the strength of our children.
This is a podcast prayer from the beginning of year. Listen, pray, and share!
The scripture for the week is from Luke 11:34, “Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness.” Vision – though somewhat tied to physical sight is more powerful and embedded in a deeper consciousness. I believe that is why God allowed Joseph to see who he was at a very young age, God knowing all the circumstantial obstacles he was going to face gave Him an insight of what was ahead. Let us pray that our children will live with vision!
The scripture for the week is from John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” We just marked Easter and Passover, both observations signify redemption, with Easter pointing us to the cross and reminding us of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for us, of Jesus taking on our wretchedness and to give us wholeness. Jesus also paved a way for us to reign in life through Him and to reign with Him in eternity. Let us pray!
The scripture for the week is from Psalm 37:25, “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. What does it mean to beg for bread? Often, we associate this scripture with lack but it could also mean life itself. Bread signifies nourishment and sustenance with Jesus calling Himself the bread of life. Let us pray that our children will not lack the bread of life, Jesus. Jesus the ever abiding, ever dependable, and unyielding rock of ages.
The scripture for the week is from Exodus 15:26 (ESV), “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.” Let us ask God to expose and heal every disease plaguing the lives of our children. This is your time as a parent or guardian to lay bare every need before God. There are hidden diseases, declare the Lord as healer over them.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Psalm 33:1, and it says, “Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.” The most common definitions of rejoice will say something like “to be very glad” or “to show great excitement” while all these are true, I was struck by another definition I came across, curbed from the Old French word rejoiss, which means "to own, possess, enjoy the possession of, have the fruition of” so when the scripture says rejoice in the Lord, it means to enjoy the possession of the Lord. Let us pray that our children will own their possession of the Lord!
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Mark 12:30, and it says, “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ Because God is love, it makes sense that Jesus taught us that the greatest commandment is to love God. The essence of our existence is centered on love and building a love relationship with our Father and God. God wants a relationship, a love relationship with your child. Let us pray...
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Matthew 5:13 (ESV) “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. In creation, salt is essential. And it is apparent that the earth cannot function without salt. Now, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth - I want you to dwell on that for a moment - meaning the earth needs us and our children to function! Think on that.
As peacemakers, our children become the catalysts that advocate for the sustenance and maintenance of peace in our world. However, that peace must start within. Let us pray that our children will reign on earth as PEACEMAKERS.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Proverbs 4:23 (ESV), which says, “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life” The heart of the matter is this – the heart is symbolic of our well-being spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I believe that is why God uses it as the analogy of our overall outcome in life. That is, if our spiritual and emotional heart is healthy, our life will reflect it. Let us pray that he heart of our children will be right with God.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Galatians 2:20 (NKJV), which says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” This is such a profound scripture that burrows on living a life that is hidden, protected, and fulfilled in a higher power. A crucified life is a life transformed from sin, bondage, yoke, oppression, pain, selfishness, and every form of ungodliness. Let us pray that our children will live and thrive in Christ!
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Proverbs 4:1, “Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding” It is so important to hear the right things in life. Prov 4:1 speaks to hearing instructions and giving attention to those instructions in order to know what to do. There are serious consequences to not hearing or hearing wrong in life. This week we will pray that our children will not be victims hearing wrong or hearing hard. Let us declare that they will be divinely tuned in to the wavelength of truth, peace, and mercy.
We are declaring Psalm 27:1 this week - the Lord is my light and salvation, whom shall I fear? At a time when the strength of many have waned, we can say we will not be afraid. Many systems in our world is wobbly under the weight of a pandemic that has exacerbated the injustice and inequality of manmade institutions. But with the Lord, we can proclaim loudly that our children will not be victims of fear and neither shall we.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Luke 2:52 (AMP) and it says, “And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men.” And Jesus kept increasing! Increasing means becoming greater in size, amount, intensity, or degree. Hence in wisdom and in stature, Jesus was never stagnant, rather he was equipped for every stage of life. Let us therefore pray that the climate and conditions of the land will not determine the increase of your child in Jesus name.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” A well-known psalm by David, many can recite it by heart but how often do we ponder or reflect on the weight and promise of the scripture. The shepherd leads, guides, protects, and provides for the sheep. Let us pray that our children will yield to the Lord to take His place in their lives.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Exodus 33:14, “And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” It is intriguing that he reassuring Moses, the Lord promised His Presence instead of His Person. He rejected the glory bestowed by worldly kingdoms in pursuit of his glorious future in Christ. Therefore we pray, that our children will embrace their glorious heritage in Christ while rejecting every temporal glory that this world has to offer.
The scripture we are using to pray this week is from Hebrews 8:10, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." The prayer for this week is from Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Even the dictionary attributes a blessing to God which highlights the authority that comes with a blessing. So when God created each of us, He looked favorably on us and gave us a gift to prosper in life.

Let us pray for them together.
The prayer for this week is from Matthew 5:14 and it says, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden” God created light before anything else. God created light for visibility, differentiation, and functionality. He also established light for the command of times, days, and seasons. Likewise, our children are created to be visible for good purpose in the midst of chaos, to be distinguished without imposing, and to be useful and indispensable to our world.
The prayer for this week is from Ephesians 2:10 and it says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” We were once created in Adam, but when Jesus died for us, we became alive in him. We (our children) are designed, empowered, intended to do good works – as stated in Acts 10:38 – anointed by the Holy Spirit to make a difference as representatives of God.
