Hello! Welcome back to #TRYEVERYTHING! In today’s episode we try something a little different. Basically, my nails were pretty bad so I went for a manicure (and podcast interview!) with my long time friend Sarah from The Shaky Hands! She has a long history working various jobs in retail, F&B and corporate, and here she shares her journey and experience of launching her own home-based mani/pedi business.
Hello! Welcome back to #TRYEVERYTHING! Sorry for the brief absence lately, it has been a hectic couple of months trying to adapt and adjust to life under the new conditions brought on by COVID-19 and the Circuit Breaker in Singapore. In this episode, I invite our producer, Danny, for a mid-season update regarding the podcast, what life has been like under these uncertain times, and what to expect post circuit breaker.
Hello! Welcome to the sixth episode #TRYEVERYTHING! In this episode we talk to a dear friend of mine, Cliff Neo, a Senior Customer Success Manager at LinkedIn who also happens to be deeply passionate about Chinese astrology and metaphysics, a.k.a 八字. He will share more about the how the craft has been misinterpreted in mainstream media, what values and principles we can apply from it, and also his winding life and career that has spanned from a background in engineering to starting a fashion business, and even a wild stint abroad in Hong Kong!
Hello! Welcome to the fifth episode #TRYEVERYTHING! In this episode we talk to Brenda Tan, a speaker, author, and self-empowerment coach. In many ways, Brenda is the epitome of the #TRYEVERYTHING spirit. While she did poorly in her studies, she explored different paths and most importantly, showed up when it mattered. This helped her beat the odds to eventually reach where she is today, and her story has even been mentioned by Prime Minister Lee during the National Day Rally speech in 2008!
Hello! Welcome to the fourth episode #TRYEVERYTHING! In this episode we talk to Vincent Ng, a Junior Curator and Community Coordinator for A Good Space, who shares his background with mental health, entrepreneurship, and the value of community. It was a truly wonderful conversation packed with so much insight and advice and so I hope you guys enjoy!
Hello guys! Welcome to the third episode of #TRYEVERYTHING! In this episode we talk to a long time friend of mine Teresa, who is truly a paragon of our show’s message – she was someone who started out her career in real estate management, before leaving to pursue her passion in graphic design as a freelancer, and eventually leaping on the opportunity to start her own organic skin care business Balm Kitchen! And she even did this while raising a family as well, incredible! This was a really insightful episode, Teresa has so much to offer, and so I hope you enjoy!
Hello guys! Welcome to the second episode of #TRYEVERYTHING! In this episode we talk to a friend of mine Derek, who has a pretty interesting experience with trying – from various part time jobs when he was younger, to joining the navy as a regular, financial trading, and finally into the insurance industry as a financial services director. On hindsight it was honestly hard to believe that he could go through such a journey having admitted to being an introvert but I guess you never know where life takes you if you keep trying! Also! This is only my second time recording in a proper studio so please mind my nerves, it will get better from here! Hope you enjoy!
Hello guys! Welcome to the pilot episode of my brand new podcast #TRYEVERYTHING! In this pilot episode my producer Danny thought it would be a good idea to give a personal background – WHICH IS LIKE A RESUME OF ALL MY ATTEMPTS AT TRYING BTW - as well as what this show aims to achieve. It was nerve-wracking since it is my first time being in a studio and recording a podcast but hey that’s what the show is about isn’t it? Hope you enjoy!
