Representation Matters
Published:

The title of this episode says it all.  After a new experience at a church we visited, this message really started pulling on my heartstrings.  This week, our conversation is all about WHY Representation Matters - and why it should also matter in the church!  It's hard to want to be a part of something, when you don't feel like you're a part of it.  Being represented, and respected in the church body is something we believe to be a vital piece of church growth.

Holy Spirit: Who? What? How?
Published:

The Holy Spirit is a "vocab word" for many Christians - especially young Christians.  It's like your third-cousin you're supposed to know but don't really and can't really identify them.  This weekend we spent time with College Hills Student Ministry at a retreat, where Josh delivered 3 short lessons about the Holy Spirit - something their student leadership team wanted to learn more about!  Throughout the weekend we all truly experienced The Spirit and the ways in which It was moving throughout the weekend.  We decided it would be a great opportunity to share a little bit with our listeners, as well.

Facing Fears
Published:

With it being Halloween weekend - we wanted to share a little bit about our fears.  This episode is full of the fears we face regularly - from our silly fears, to the more serious ones - we share a little bit of them all.  We also took this chance to share a little bit about how we face our fears and work through those situations.  Fear isn't something we can just sit it - we have to be able to work through it.  Join us as we navigate through that, and share the things that have helped us.

Let's Talk About...
Published:

Sex.  Yep! You probably could've finished the sentence for us.  This week we venture into the sensitive subject of sex.  We feel that this world offers so much of its own definitions and descriptions of sex, and we want to offer the real truth about it.  The truth of God's design for sex and the truth in the mental and emotional toll it can take on someone.  We share our stories and our experiences this week, all with the purpose to hopefully give insight and knowledge from the "other-side".  The side that completely contradicts what our world and our society tells us.

Media Trends, Spirituality, Godliness, Truth
Published:

This week we're talking all about media trends, and if/how they impact our spirituality.  We had a really great conversation with our Prodigal Life Group bible study this past week, and we wanted to share that with our #HaughtCoffee listeners.  We learned a lot from their perspective, and we hope that through this conversation, you guys can take something away, too.  This world we're living in is full of trends - and without the awareness of how those trends may impact our faith, we could find ourselves unbalanced in a way that pushes us further from Jesus.  Enjoy this week's episode as we dive into how we can best avoid that, and fill ourselves with godliness and truth.

Fearless Faith
Published:

This week we decided to spend some time sharing our Marriage Mission Statement and our Family Pillars that we created for our marriage a couple of years ago.  We think these are great tools for anyone listening to apply to their life.  For our family, our number one Family Pillar is having a Fearless Faith.  We know that we have a God that fights our battles for us, and for that reason we can walk boldly in our faith.

Expectations
Published:

This week's episode discusses the importance of communicating expectations within your marriage, your friendships, your family, relationships and even with your kids.  These are conversations we took for granted and didn't feel were necessary at the beginning of our marriage.  We then realized just how important they were and now we try to have these types of conversations regularly to help avoid unnecessary conflict.

Burnouts and Communication
Published:
We’re back! And, we are sharing a little bit about our summer, and some of the lessons we’ve learned. In truth, the stories we share throughout this episode are somewhat hard to share, and hard for us to listen back to. However, Josh said it best: “These are situations that serve as building blocks for our marriage moving forward.” There’s a lot that happened throughout this summer - it was packed full of opportunities for growth, and so many lessons were learned. It’s our prayer that our listeners can take these lessons and be able to apply them to their lives as well. We are beyond excited to be back for SEASON TWO!! We hope you enjoy the episode!!

Messages Part 2
Published:
This week we pick up right where we left off last week and continue sharing what's on our hearts for YOU, our listeners.  The messages this week have a focus on relationships and the older generations that may be listening.  However, again, we remind you, that just because you may not see yourself in one of these specific "categories" - maybe one day you will be, or maybe you know someone who is and might need to hear encouragement.
Messages Part 1
Published:

We honestly couldn't land on the specific topic we wanted to cover this week.  We were back and forth between a couple of ideas and then I just looked at Josh and asked, "What do you think our listeners needs to hear?  Like, what do you think someone in college who is listening might need to hear?"  From there we realized the age range of our listeners, and that while it's pretty wide-spread, there are messages on our heart for all of you.

The Christian College Experience
Published:
This week we are sharing all about our decision of where to go to college, what it was like to be student athletes, how we spent our time, and most importantly - the impact it had on our spirituality and growth in our faith.

Change of Plans
Published:

This week we talk a little bit about how COVID affected our family; through having a baby, going virtual with school and church and how we worked through those times, and the ways our plans changed throughout the times of the pandemic we are currently facing.

But while YOU were still a long way off...
Published:

This week we talk all about distance.  Having spent the first 3 years of our relationship dating from a distance and only seeing each other on weekends - we have experience in navigating what to do and how to handle feeling distant.  What we learned in preparing for this week's episode is that, in many ways, when we look back and see what helped us survive those hard times, feeling so far away from each other, it's true that the same can help us navigate our way back to God in the hard times when He just seems so far away.

How Do You Know?
Published:

This episode has it all - Coffee ☕ Jesus ✝️ and Relationships ❤️ - all while focusing on the question "How do you know...?"

Friendzoned and Worthy
Published:

There are too many times throughout our lives that we begin to question our worth.  What defines our worth?  Who defines our worth?  How do we know our worth?  This is something that I battled with for years - it's something that could have possibly led to the end of any type of relationship between Josh and I.  The dreaded "We need to talk" text, followed up by a genuine "friendzone" truly led to full understandings of respect, love and worth - the kind of worth that can only be found in Jesus.
