Sunday night can bring that familiar mix of quiet and dread: the house settles, the mind speeds up, and tomorrow starts pressing in. We meet that moment with daily prayer rooted in Scripture, beginning with Joshua 1:9 and a clear ask: God, make us strong and courageous.

Anxiety rarely arrives politely. It shows up as a tight chest, a noisy mind, a sudden wave of panic, or that late-night feeling that you cannot switch off. We meet that reality with a Sunday evening prayer rooted in Philippians 4:6 to 7, asking God for calmness, emotional stability, and the peace of God that guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. If you are carrying fear about work, family, health, money, or the future, you are not asked to pretend you are fine. We bring it to Jesus directly.

Pentecost isn’t a vibe or a tradition for us, it’s a line in the sand: the Spirit who hovered over the waters in Genesis is the same Spirit who fills the upper room in Acts chapter 2. We start with Scripture, follow the biblical calendar to Pentecost Sunday, and connect creation to the birth of the church. Our conviction is simple and weighty: the Holy Spirit is not an optional add-on, and the church is not meant to be powered by personality, pressure, or performance. 

Sunday nights have a way of turning up the volume in your mind. If you’ve got that familiar mix of dread, tiredness, and “how am I going to do this week?”, we meet you right there with a calm, scripture-soaked time of prayer and perspective. We lean into Joshua 1:9 and ask God to make us strong and courageous, not by pretending life is fine, but by remembering that the Lord is with us wherever we go.

Everyone is comfortable with Jesus… until the conversation turns to who He really is.

The centre of this message is simple: “Fix our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2). The speaker argues that Christianity becomes tangled when it turns into systems, labels, and status, while the original invitation remains clear and personal: come and follow Christ. From global unrest to personal pressure like bills, work stress, and that quiet panic you carry alone, we bring the noise into the light of the Gospel and ask what it looks like to live by faith rather than by sight.

Jesus Christ is coming back for his Church the bride of Christ, so the question is are we completely surrendered? Then that will take us to the place of being a true disciple of Jesus and also confirming that we are born again believers - so the question is “Who is Lord of your life?”

Oh yes, we are back in this Holy Spirit Filled conversation, we see the world mocking God, as we see all what’s been said about the blasphemous opening ceremony of the Olympics, but in the reality of Church we see this in a large percentage of the UK Church - men dressing as women, women dressing as men, on a Sunday morning delivering what they call a sermon, so the church cannot comment on what we have seen with the Olympics because it’s a mirror image.
