Hello lovely, welcome to #SienaSaidIt and my podcast #BreakfastThoughtswithSiena. I am a foodie and I love to wine an dine. I am if the firm view that good things come over a good meal. One experiences clarity of thought and direction when the prawn and sauce is rightπ. I am a musician, a writer, a vocalist and I love life!! So I talk about everything and anything. It's really about mental health and emotional well being. I have a saying, the best way to address issues is over a good meal. So I talk about good food, and I while I do I dare to broach subjects we are not normally inclined to want to address, such as working in a place you not really passionate about, quitting your iob, getting fired!π, falling in love and keeping up with friends and family!! Life is beautiful isn't it. As Maya Angelou says, there may be clouds, but there have been rainbows. At #BreakfastThoughts with Siena we make an effort to look for the Rainbow!!! It's not easy to make that choice, but it's a choice w

With Farmer & Food Producer, Mafunu Enukpere, and Mede Akran, Digital Marketer & Journalist, I look into the most crucial areas that need action at the start of the New Year. We compared lists and found areas that were unanimous. In all, it was a very eye-opening conversation. Some very fresh ideas on how to make money and grow income were shared, and the importance of genuinely building relationships were emphasized. Will marriage be a priority this year?

On Birthdays, Protests and Staying Calm and Centered in a Time of Uncertainty
Published:
Today I speak with Birthday celebrants Prince Ogbarode Ogbon Aghogho Jnr., and Vovwe Sidoh. Their birthday was on the 20th October, (time of recording) and it was right in the wake of the #ENDSARS #ENDSWAT Protests all over Nigeria. (The Lekki Massacre happened six hours later). It is trying to be Nigerian at this time, and I did try to be upbeat. Despite all this, both celebrants assure that they are safe and sound in Texas, and highlight how in the wake of the protests, they somehow manage to be grateful, celebrate and remain calm and centered. I also had Texas medic Dr. Ochuko Ogbon in the house and she talked about how to maintain mental health for some of us who are already depressed with the series of sad news flowing in one after the other on our social media. Akpevwe Tessy was also available to join me in wishing my friends a happy birthday and boy! didn't she lend a strong voice to the struggle! We talked about 'Dodo and Fried egg', and found a few laughs in between. This podcast is not about the well being of food oπππ. It's about well being over food, because I have found that clarity of thought and direction could come over a conversation while having a good meal with your favourite song playing in the background! Again this is raw and unedited and you will feel all the emotion. Whatever you hear and feel, try to take it in good light. There will be better times, for ourselves, for #BreakfastThoughtswithSiena, and for our country Nigeria. Our heart goes out to all who lost loved ones in October 2020 in Nigeria. We will always remember. In the meantime, let's treasure the family we have and in fellow feeling, look to the Sun, knowing a better tomorrow awaits; let's stay calm and be happy!!! My guests shared useful tips on this so jump right in!!!π. All my love, Siena.
