Mladá Boleslav, 1 June 2026 – The 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship concluded with yesterday’s thrilling gold medal game in Zurich, where Finland claimed the title with a 1:0 overtime win over Switzerland. During the closing ceremony, Maren Gräf, Škoda Auto Board Member for People & Culture, presented the Most Valuable Player award to Switzerland’s defender Roman Josi. Since 2018, the trophy has been created by the Škoda Design team, who has once again incorporated elements of the car manufacturer’s Modern Solid design language. Holger Peters, Škoda Auto Board Member for Finance, IT & Legal Affairs, also took part in the ceremony, presenting the bronze medals to the tournament’s third-placed team Norway. The Czech car manufacturer has been the Official Main Sponsor of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship for 33 consecutive years, making this the longest-running main sponsorship of any sporting world championship. This year, Škoda staged the world premiere of the all-new, all-electric Epiq compact SUV crossover during the tournament.

Mladá Boleslav, 8 June 2026 – Series production of Škoda’s new all-electric entry model, the Epiq, has begun at the Volkswagen Navarra plant in Pamplona, Spain. As part of the Electric Urban Car Family from the Volkswagen Brand Group Core (BGC), this marks an important step in strengthening synergies within the BGC: all four models from CUPRA, Volkswagen and Škoda will be produced at plants in Spain. After the current-generation Superb, the new Epiq is the second model in Škoda’s present European portfolio to be built outside Škoda Auto’s Czech plants, and the first Škoda model ever to be produced in Spain. This allows Škoda Auto to retain its own production capacity for other high-demand models. As a strategic cornerstone, the Epiq brings electric mobility to the dynamic entry-level segment and gives customers even greater freedom of choice. It is the brand’s first car built on the new MEB+ platform and its first model to fully embody the Modern Solid design language. Alongside the Peaq, the Epiq will play a key role in doubling the brand’s electric portfolio this year.

The tournament takes place in Zurich and Fribourg, Switzerland, from 15 to 31 May. During the championship, the carmaker will provide the organisers with 53 all-electric Elroq and Enyaq models and will also unveil the Epiq, its latest electric model, with the premiere streamed live on Škoda’s YouTube channel. Škoda Design has again created the trophy for the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, which will be presented at the closing ceremony. Throughout the championship, the Czech carmaker, in collaboration with the local importer, will be showcasing its models in and around the arenas and offering various activities and competitions in the Official Fan Zones.

Mladá Boleslav, 30 April 2026 – In the first quarter of 2026, Škoda Auto continued its growth trajectory and became Europe’s second best-selling car brand*, delivering 222,500 vehicles (+17.1%) and significantly outperforming the overall market. Worldwide deliveries to customers rose 14.0% year on year to 271,900 vehicles. This performance was driven largely by the all-electric Elroq and Enyaq, which ranked second and fifth respectively among the best-selling BEVs in Europe. Škoda Auto also delivered solid financial results, with revenue of €7.9 billion (+9.1%), a record-high operating profit of €660 million (+20.9%) marking the strongest first-quarter result in the company’s history, a return on sales of 8.3%, and net cash flow of €867 million (+64.4%). These results were supported by a broad, modern model line-up, strict cost discipline, and synergies within the Volkswagen Group and Brand Group Core. Beyond Europe, Škoda also recorded continued growth in India (17,400 vehicles; +16.7%), Morocco (1,700 vehicles; +45.0%) and Egypt (1,600 vehicles; +58.5%).

Building on the strong performance of 2024, the Czech car manufacturer posted an all-time high revenue of €30.1 billion (+8.3%), an operating profit of €2.5 billion (+8.6%), and a robust return on sales of 8.3%. Additionally, the company significantly increased its net cash flow to a new record high of €2.3 billion (+14.9%). Worldwide deliveries to customers rose to 1,043,900 units (+12.7%), surpassing the one-million mark for the first time in six years. In Europe (EU27+4), Škoda ranked third overall and fourth among EV manufacturers, while recording the fastest year-on-year growth in registrations among the Top 10 brands. International expansion also accelerated, with record deliveries in India, the launch of production in Vietnam, a strengthened position across ASEAN and the Middle East, and growth in Türkiye and Morocco. In 2026, Škoda will continue to electrify its line-up by doubling its fully electric portfolio with the new Epiq and Peaq models. Mladá Boleslav, 27 February 2026 – Škoda is investing €205 million in the expansion of battery production in Mladá Boleslav, becoming the largest producer of BEV battery systems in the Volkswagen Group. This opening is part of the Volkswagen Group’s overall battery strategy, which balances in-house and third-party battery cell and system supply to achieve maximum flexibility and continuous access to innovations, technologies and supply chains. At the same time, Škoda’s main plant is now the first Volkswagen Group site in Europe to produce cell-to-pack battery systems for use in high-volume electric vehicles. A daily output of more than 1,100 cell-to-pack battery systems and up to 335,000 units a year will accelerate the rollout of new technologies in close collaboration with the Volkswagen Group Technology Center of Excellence Battery.

All three infotainment features are included in the Media Streaming Package, available free of charge for the first three years in new vehicles. The Traffication application for current Škoda models now also features an Emergency Vehicle Approaching alert, adding an important new safety function. Together, these additions provide drivers and passengers with new on-board entertainment options during charging breaks, seamless audio streaming and relevant safety information in critical on-road situations. Mladá Boleslav, 2 February 2026 – In 2025, 1,065,000 Škoda vehicles were produced worldwide, representing a year-on-year increase of 15%. In addition, the carmaker built more than 329,000 battery systems for Škoda electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, as well as for other Volkswagen Group models, along with more than 1,030,000 transmissions and over 500,000 engines. At the Czech carmaker’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, 605,600 Škoda vehicles rolled off the production line (year-on-year +4.9%). Due to high demand and flexibility in production, Škoda’s all-electric compact SUV Elroq reached the mark of 112,500 units built since series production started in January 2025; the larger all-electric SUV Enyaq followed with around 77,000 units. In Vietnam, a new plant was opened with partner Thanh Cong Group: the Slavia and Kushaq models are assembled here from completely knocked down (CKD) kits supplied from India, where output also rose significantly due to the high demand for the Kylaq SUV.

Mladá Boleslav, 19 January 2026 – Škoda Auto delivered 1,043,900 vehicles to customers worldwide (+12.7%), recording its strongest sales performance in the past six years. In Europe (EU 27+4), Škoda delivered 836,200 vehicles (+9.9%), for the first time becoming the third best-selling car brand in its core market. A key driver of this performance was the success of Škoda’s BEV and PHEV models: one in four Škoda models (25.7%) were delivered with a plug. Additionally, strong demand for the Elroq and Enyaq lifted Škoda to fourth place among Europe’s electric vehicle manufacturers. Germany remains Škoda’s largest market, with 211,100 deliveries (+12.8%), followed by the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, India and Poland. The Octavia, Kodiaq, Kamiq, Fabia and Karoq were the best-selling models. Momentum also continued with internationalisation; deliveries in India almost doubled to 70,600 vehicles (+96.1%), while production of the Slavia and Kushaq began in Vietnam. 2026 will see two new electric models: the urban crossover Epiq and the seven-seater family SUV Peaq will double Škoda’s all-electric portfolio.

Mladá Boleslav, 27 November 2025 – Škoda Auto has built 100,000 units of the all-electric Elroq compact SUV since production began at the start of the year. The anniversary vehicle is an Elroq RS in Mamba Green. As the first production model to feature the brand’s Modern Solid design language, the Elroq is assembled on a flexible line that also builds the Enyaq and the MQB-based Octavia. This allows the carmaker to produce both electric and ICE models on the same line to quickly respond to customer demand. The Elroq is proving popular with customers and experts alike: in the first three quarters of 2025, it ranked second among Europe’s best-selling BEV models. It has also garnered numerous international honours, including the Red Dot Design Award, and was recently crowned ‘German Car of the Year 2026’. The 100,000-unit milestone underscores the strong, continuing demand for Škoda’s battery-electric SUVs, the Elroq and Enyaq.

Mladá Boleslav, 31 October 2025 – In the first three quarters of 2025, Škoda Auto recorded strong key financial indicators: revenue rose to €22.344 billion (+9.5%), operating profit increased to €1.790 billion (+5.4%) and net cash flow stood at a very robust level, amounting to €1.934 billion (–2.8%). Return on Sales (RoS) remained at a solid 8.0% (2024: 8.3%), confirming Škoda’s position as one of the most profitable European volume car brands. 765,700 vehicles were delivered to customers worldwide, a year-on-year increase of 14.1%. In Europe (EU27, UK, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland), the brand delivered 616,300 vehicles, holding third place overall in the region. BEV and PHEV models accounted for 24.1% of deliveries (2024: 11.1%), with the Elroq and Enyaq models ranking third and sixth in Europe’s BEV sales. Additionally, the Elroq passed the milestone of 100,000 orders since the start of sales. Škoda’s internationalisation strategy is also taking effect, with an all-time high of 49,400 vehicles delivered in the Indian market (+106.1%). In Vietnam, production of the Kushaq started earlier this year, and production and sales of the Slavia began in September.

On the European market, Škoda delivered 409,100 vehicles to customers (+10.5%), significantly outperforming the overall market. Strong demand for electric and plug-in-hybrid models played a key role in this success. In Europe, Škoda supplied customers with 72,000 electric vehicles and 21,400 plug-in hybrids, together accounting for 22.8% of deliveries. Škoda Auto also significantly strengthened its presence in Asia, delivering 33,300 vehicles to customers in India. This achievement set a new record for the brand in its 25th year on the subcontinent, marking year-on-year growth of 107.7%. In Vietnam, sales began of the first locally produced Škoda model – the Kushaq SUV.

Capable of painting vehicles built on both internal combustion (ICE) and electric platforms, the facility will significantly enhance operational efficiency and flexibility. It will also enable two-tone paint applications and matte finishes. Crucially, the new paint shop aligns with Škoda Auto’s aim to achieve carbon-neutral production at its Czech plants by 2030. Alongside a reduction in volatile organic compounds (VOCs), CO₂ emissions from painting processes will be cut by 28%.

Mladá Boleslav, 2 May 2025 – Škoda Auto built on last year’s momentum to achieve a robust Q1: With 238,600 vehicles delivered to customers worldwide, the Czech car manufacturer recorded an increase of 8.2% year-on-year in the first three months of 2025. Electric models with a plug, including all-electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV), combined accounted for a record share of 15% of total deliveries with 36,900 vehicles. The solid sales and financial results once again demonstrated Škoda Auto’s financial stability and resilience despite current dynamic market conditions. Škoda Auto generated revenue of €7.259 billion (+10.4%), operating profit rose to €546 million (+2.1%), the return on sales stood at 7.5% (8.1% in Q1 2024), and net cash flow climbed to €527 million, up 15.3% year-on-year. This performance was driven by strong cost discipline and the broad, modern model line-up. The company also continues to benefit from synergies within the Volkswagen Group and the Brand Group Core. In India, Škoda Auto recorded a sharp rise in deliveries following the launch of the new Kylaq SUV, reaching 15,000 units (+89.3% year-on-year).

Mladá Boleslav, 22 April 2025 – Škoda Auto now uses sustainable HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) fuel as the initial fill for newly manufactured diesel models produced at its Czech factories and for refuelling its logistics fleet. This synthetic diesel is produced from waste materials and differs from biodiesel, which is derived from agricultural crops. HVO fuel is made from used fats and oils through a chemical hydrogenation process and therefore does not require any farmland, making it even more sustainable. The advanced-generation biofuel is supplied by the Czech state-owned company ČEPRO. This initiative is part of the joint decarbonisation measures being implemented across the company and is designed to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of Škoda Auto’s corporate activities. In production and logistics, the Czech carmaker aims to achieve carbon-neutral operation at all its plants in the Czech Republic and India by the end of the decade.

Mladá Boleslav, 27 March 2025 – Škoda Auto and regional partner and investor, the Thanh Cong Group, officially opened a new production plant in Vietnam on 26 March for the assembly of Škoda Slavia and Kushaq cars. This marks a significant milestone in the brand’s internationalisation strategy, reinforcing its ambition to strengthen its presence beyond its European home market. By importing completely knocked-down (CKD) kits of the Kushaq SUV from India and assembling them locally, Škoda is capitalising on geographical synergies. The production programme will expand in the summer to include the Slavia sedan, which will also be assembled from CKD kits sourced from India. Located in Quang Ninh province, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a welding shop, a paint shop, and a final assembly line. Škoda Auto launched operations in Vietnam in September 2023 and oversees the Volkswagen Group’s activities in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a region with strong growth potential. Vietnam, one of the fastest-developing markets in ASEAN, serves as a strategic gateway to the wider Indo-Pacific region. Since entering the Vietnamese market, 15 Škoda sales outlets have been opened and the network is planned to expand to 32 dealerships in 2025.

The plug-in hybrid variants, the Superb Combi iV and Superb Hatch iV, offer an electric range of up to 120 km. Customers can also opt for front- or all-wheel drive.

Škoda Auto delivered 926,600 vehicles to customers worldwide last year (+6.9%), with the Octavia remaining the brand’s bestseller (215,700 vehicles; +12.4%). Škoda recorded a sharp increase in deliveries across its main sales region Europe, where it outpaced the overall market and ranked as the fourth best-selling carmaker (2023: 7th position). Looking ahead, the company is well-positioned, offering its youngest and most comprehensive product portfolio to date comprising all drive types, with the all-electric compact SUV Elroq and the recently presented new Enyaq. Furthermore, Škoda is pressing ahead with its internationalisation efforts: At the newly built plant in Vietnam, assembly operations are set to begin in the upcoming weeks, while the all-new Kylaq urban SUV, developed in India for India, will support the brand’s sales target of 100,000 units by 2026 in its important growth market. One of its key milestones was introducing the groundbreaking Škoda Octavia model series, which required an entirely new production line at the Mladá Boleslav plant. Exactly 30 years ago, on 14 February 1995, the foundation stone for this facility was laid by then-President of the Czech Republic Václav Havel and Volkswagen Group Chairman Ferdinand Piëch. The investment totalled CZK 11 billion, and by September 1996, production was already underway in Hall M13. Today, this state-of-the-art, highly flexible production line adapts to changing customer demands by building the Octavia with efficient combustion engines alongside the all-electric Enyaq family and the Elroq.

The main plant in Mladá Boleslav accounted for the share of this success by producing 575,000 Škoda vehicles. In 2024, production of a record number of new and refreshed models began, including the Scala, Kamiq, Kylaq, Octavia and Kodiaq model series. The company also continued to strengthen its international operations: capacity at the Pune plant in India was expanded for the Kylaq compact SUV, Škoda’s third model made in India for India. Additionally, preparations for vehicle assembly in Vietnam were finalised, and Kodiaq SKD production started in Kazakhstan.

Significant absolute increases were also recorded in Türkiye (8,600), the United Kingdom (8,400), Poland (7,500), and Spain (6,200). The updated Octavia maintained its status as Škoda’s top-selling model, with 215,700 units delivered (+12.4%). Despite increasing competition and an industry-wide slowdown in demand for fully electric vehicles, the Enyaq series attracted strong customer interest. Škoda continued to roll out its global showroom update in line with the new corporate identity, transforming over 230 dealerships to date. Entering 2025, the brand is poised for further growth with its youngest and most comprehensive product portfolio yet, spanning 12 model series. This includes the all-electric and affordable Elroq SUV, the new, popular Enyaq and the Kylaq compact SUV, which is set to boost sales in the Indian market.

The company is celebrating this significant milestone with the five-millionth engine in the EA 211 series. Since 1899, more than 15 million engines have been produced, including technically outstanding units like the first inline eight-cylinder engine in Central Europe (1907), pressure-cast aluminium block engines in the one-litre class (1964), and modern MPI and TSI powertrains. Škoda’s expertise in engine production is further underscored by the Volkswagen Group’s decision to entrust the brand with the development of petrol engines up to 1.6 litres for the entire Group.
