Chef Pearl teaches Thai, Asian, European, American, Polynesian, and Fusion cooking at Sur La Table in Nanuet, NY. She also offers hands-on, private and group sessions as well as Taste of the Spectrum. Ashley made her Broadway debut in 2023 in the musical 'How to Dance in Ohio', in which she played one of seven autistic characters that were cast with autistic actors. She is  an  Assistant Professor at SUNY Empire State University in the Applied Behavior Analysis Master of Science program and the Assistant Director of the SUNY Empire Center for Autism Advocacy: Research, Education, and Supports (CAARES). This weekend's 1 in 31: Autism Today guest is Elizabeth Rosenberger. Elizabeth's son attends Anderson Early Learning Academy (AELA) in Latham. AELA is a NYS approved 4410 program that provides children ages 3-5 years of age opportunities to learn in an environment that is developmentally appropriate and teaches the skills needed to be successful in kindergarten. Professionally, Elizabeth is a school counselor, handling IEPs and more at an elementary school in the Capital Region of New York. Alan is the founder and CEO of Autism Double Checked (ADC), an innovative organization committed to making travel more accessible and inclusive for individuals on the autism spectrum. This weekend's 1 in 31 guest is Dr. Jacob Corey. Dr. Corey is an assistant professor of physical therapy at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania. His research focuses on improving health, participation, and quality of life for neurodivergent individuals and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities through mixed methods inquiry, patient-centered intervention design, and implementation science. Dr. Corey is also the co-founder and president of Happy Valley FitLink, a nonprofit organization that provides free wellness classes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

This weekend's 1 in 31 guest is Tracy Schober. Tracy is the Executive Director at Autism Society Greater Hudson Region (ASGHR). She leads the organization in five core service areas including Education, Advocacy, Support, Community, and Information & Referral, covering 21 counties in Eastern New York. Dr. Warner works within the Tarjan Center at UCLA, which is a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). He received his PhD with a dual specialization in Clinical and Disaster Psychology from the University of South Dakota. Dr. Warner joins us to discuss the PEERS (Program for Education Enrichment of Relational Skills) for Dating Clinic. This new 20-week program aims to demystify the often complex social rules surrounding dating and help participants gain a deeper understanding of relationship dynamics. Jennifer is the founder of Inclusive Art House, a nonprofit located in Georgia. Jennifer has been a visual artist for over 25 years. She founded Inclusive Art House to empower and uplift disabled and special needs persons. She was inspired by her nephew Isahiah (now 20 years old) who came to live with her and her family in 2020. Isahiah is the focus of Jennifer's book series "Izzy Can't Talk", and has the title Chief of Inspiration within the organization. Jennifer has a new book coming out October 20th, 2025. Heather has trained as a classical pianist and graduated from Berklee College of Music. AhHa! Broadway enables opportunities for performing arts education and programming to under-resourced kids, veterans, seniors, and neurodivergent adults. They recently partnered with Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) on an inclusive theater program resulting in the QCP's inaugural production of Willy Wonka. This weekend's 1 in 31 guest is Dr. Alex Kolevzon. Dr. Kolevzon is the Clinical Director of the Seaver Autism Center at Mount Sinai Health System. He joins us today to talk about the CDC's latest estimate that 1 in 31 children in the United States are identified as having autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Dr. Kolevzon suggests a number of possible reasons why this statistic has been on the rise. He also discusses various research challenges and approaches for studying individuals on the autism spectrum. Dr. Kolevzon suggests the prevalence rate may stabilize around 1 in 100 individuals, rather than the current 1 in 31 figure, suggesting some correction in diagnostic practices may occur in the future.

This weekend's 1 in 36 guest is Sheletta Brundidge. Sheletta is an author, speaker, advocate, Emmy award-winning comedian, radio host, AND mother of three children with autism! There isn't much that Sheletta doesn't do. In 2020, Sheletta created ShelettaMakesMeLaugh, a multi-media online platform with weekly podcasts. She also published her very first book in 2020, and has since published three more. Angela is the transition supervisor for the children's day program at the Center for Developmental Disabilities located in Woodbury, NY. The Center provides comprehensive services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Dr. Deborah Napolitano is an assistant professor of ABA at Daemen College. Prior to this, she was an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Napolitano has published widely in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavior analysis in some of the field’s leading journals. Her research interests are in the areas of rigid and repetitive behavior in individuals with autism, drug and behavior interactions, applications of behavior analysis in child welfare, and the assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior of persons with IDD. She has also spent a great deal of her career advocating for the needs of individuals with IDD, their families, and for the behavior analysis profession. Fahim is from Bangladesh, he received his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Dhaka. His passion for working with individuals with autism started during his internship for BRAC, where he worked with many different individuals with different disorders. He began as a radio salesperson and worked his way up over the years. Chuck notes that it is important to support the communities in which Pamal operates in. At AQMAI, they pride themselves on teaching the highest quality martial arts, character development and discipline. AQMAI also has received training from Anderson Center Consulting and Training, and is an Autism Supportive EnvironmentSM. Jordan is originally from Uganda, and Sayma is from Bangladesh. Jordan & Sayma will spend 12-18 months at Anderson Center for Autism learning more about autism spectrum disorder and how to support individuals on the spectrum. This weekend's 1 in 44 guest is Jamie Bishop! Jamie is a co-owner and brewmaster at Mill House Brewing Company (MHBC) in Poughkeepsie, NY. Anderson Center for Autism (ACA) & MHBC have partnered together for the past 9 years for Autism Awareness/Acceptance month. Each year MHBC brews the Mr. Anderson Ale, "beer with a cause!" and they donate $1 of each pint sold back to ACA! We also annually host the Mr. Anderson After Hours event to kick off Autism Awareness/Acceptance month at MHBC. Pasquale, or Coach Pasquale, is a Special Needs Integrated Wellness Life Coach certified through the Integrative Wellness Academy.  Coach Pasquale practices life coaching in a holistic way, with the understanding that the mind and body are connected.
