Things I do across music, books, pics and flicks. Expect some random videos and tunes from my archive mixed in with new live stuff.
Different Drummer mix at the Glasshouse
Published:
This was from my first gig using Ableton Live to sequence visuals as well as sound. It's a fabulous program with a well constructed interface for live work. Unfortunately I managed to wipe my files from the other track but managed to save this one.
F.E.V.A at Kooky (music by Sudha)
Published:
This track, Saiko by Sudha, is one of my current faves. Here Vicky (aka F.E.V.A.) performs with her fans at Kooky. The visuals behind her are then layered back over here in a cheap and cheerful mix. I've been using this video to experiment making DVD-Videos that you can 'mix' with your remote control.
VFX reel - 200804
Published:
I've never done a VFX reel before but I thought I'd whip one up to see where my skills were at so far. The 'pre-vis' segment was the most interesting part for me - I took a short slice of a recent release film and reconstructed it. Makes you realise how much work goes into staging a fast paced action scene.
Live in the living room
Published:
Roadtesting the Wurlitzer and the Sanctuary asset library. Couldn't resist turning the living room into a video recording space while the flatties are away. Will see if there's anything worth munging in the morning.
Slaughter of the cat
Published:
My first track from 1997 recording some mates in a backyard with my old Fostex four-track.
T* trailer
Published:
Short teaser for the T* video installation that I made for the CEPA Gallery in 2004. Looking to install it somewhere in London. You get to remix four of my transgender themed films live.
Sydney Skyline
Published:
A little film made in 2004. Never considered the most beautiful of buildings but I like it.
