Coach Glover is the head men's basketball coach at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas and that is just the current position in his resume. Glover was a past collegiate athlete playing at the junior college level all the way up to NCAA DI...he's quite humble! This was a fun episode, as he clearly is an avid listener and one of our biggest fans! SINCE the recording of this podcast his family has grown by one more little lady, so congrats to you and your family coach!!!

Well, we have had a few winners on our podcast, but this is our first NJCAA Champion coach we have had the pleasure interviewing. Dillon Hargrove is the current men's basketball coach at McCook Community College. Prior to his time here in McCook he was at National Park where he claimed his National DII Men's Championship Basketball title.
Kayten is a sophomore here at MCC and has a story that I think every athlete should take a listen to when they think life gets hard!! WE LOVE YOU KAYTEN!!!

We were very lucky to have these ladies on our podcast during their last week at McCook Community College. Both Emerie and Rowan were volleyball athletes at MCC for two seasons. This is a fun and uplifting episode with these two young ladies!!

How cool that a former player of mine (mine as in Hayley Kobza) has come back to work at the college she played at her first two years!?? Evie is originally from Utah and also just recently graduated from Missouri Valley College. We were so excited to have her on with us and had some great conversations.
We are going to keep this simple.
You know what is kind of hard? Getting together to do podcasts! This is a short little clip of just the two of us... talking, all we do is talk!
We had such an 'enjoyable' time with this guy a year ago, we decided to have him back on for some baseball talk. In his spare time of coaching football, teaching, being a father and dad, he is also the senior's baseball coach here in McCook!
Of course we had to Lena's baby on here!! We have now had all of our little humans on here and have really enjoyed getting to hear their side of life and sports and just being our children.
How about a fun bonus episode!?? We have become avid Bison Wrestling fans, so of course we wanted to chat with Coach Umscheid about his season. BUT having his better half come along was just what we needed to realize how much more we are now fans of this coach and his sport.
We were lucky enough to get Mitch Gross in studio with us here this last month! Great conversation and a fun way for you to get to know this great asset of a human to our community!!
How about when someone student teaches in a town and then moves back because the town is so awesome!?? Well, that is pretty the story of this past coach. Not only was Jodi a coach in McCook, but she was also a collegiate athlete at UNK, or the name it was prior to that... Kearney State?
Is this really an episode of public vs private school? No, not really... but its a great banter between the two of us on our thoughts, ha!
We enjoyed this McCook Bison athlete so much his freshman year, we had to have him back as a sophomore to see what he has been up to this season. Still seems to be a hard-working, dedicated athlete who is ready to do big things this Saturday at the District Wrestling Meet here in MCCOOK, NEBRASKA!!!! GOOOOO BISON!

Pretty much we just do podcasts now so we can talk to each other and let everyone listen to our conversations. Yikes, we are a day late!!! Another solid episode with a McCook native, Joe Schlager. Joe is now a Collegiate Head Women's Flag football coach, and it's a pretty interesting story on how he got to where he is now!
Well, we thought we would check in on a few of the MCC Lady Indians this season, so take a listen to sophomores, Fernanda Merancio and Greta Bolognini. This was a fun episode and we for sure want to check in with a few of the other ladies sometime this year, but for now, this is a great episode with some solid advice and good chuckles.
We talked one of our famous southwest volleyball coaches into coming and chatting with us. Coach Troester was a coach for 41 years and racked up over 1000 volleyball wins, 7 state championships, 5th 2nd place finishes at state, 21 conference championships and 12 district championships. (this is just to name a few)

Miss Shawna Wilkinson is one of our local high school athletes here in McCook, NE. She was a 3 sport athlete in high school and has decided to pursue track at the University of Nebraska - Kearney this year!
Well, according to his LinkedIn account, Chris is currently the K-8 Principal at Colby Public Schools. But you will soon find out after listening to this episode that his first passion in public schools was being a football coach.

This episode was by far one of our top favorite episodes to record. After you take a listen you will understand why. Listening to someone be willing to share their downs of life, but how they continue to grow and look at the top of the mountain instead of the bottom gives you a sense of hope with your own troubles or problems you may be facing.
One of the awesome things about one of us working at the college is all of the awesome humans we get to meet. I, Hayley, was fortunate enough to meet these young ladies as freshmen, Nevaeh Ogden and Cassidy Fife.

Coach McCall is the head volleyball coach at North Platte Community College in North Platte, NE. She is a 3x Region 9 NJCAA DII coach of the year and has a handful of accolades that you can read in the link below.
