My golf buddy Dan and I have different ways of staying in shape that keep us competitive on the course. Join us for a chat (and banter) about the fitness habits that contribute to our golf skills.
As you get older, you are increasingly prone to injury due to a variety of factors. In this episode, I talk to physiotherapist Stefan about ways that you can prevent injury as you age. His number one recommendation is to get moving... and it doesn't have to take a lot of time or effort.
My wife is passionate about food and eating well. In this episode, we talk about the challenges of maintaining a healthy food lifestyle, and how you can achieve a balance without restrictive dieting or cutting out your favourite treats.
My friend Bart plays all kinds of sports and is in incredible shape at 83 years old. In this episode, Bart describes his active lifestyle habits and offers some ageless tips for staying fit and healthy.
In this episode, I talk to my brother Allan who used to golf and play sports. He hasn't been able to golf much for years due to injury and weight gain. He was hesitant to even try getting back into shape, for fear of failure. With some encouragement (and maybe a little nagging), he's determined to start the fitness journey so that he can hit the course with his sons this year.
When I started my own journey into golf fitness, I noticed that most fitness programs were being represented by young, toned trainers and athletes. It used to discourage me because I knew that I would never be willing to spend great lengths of time at the gym to achieve that sort of figure. I just wanted to keep myself in shape so that I can keep golfing as I age. I eventually found my own path to fitness without having to spend extensive hours training at the gym. I'm here to share my journey with anyone else who could use some help and encouragement getting into shape so that they can play golf a little better.
