My number one celebrity, my number one person, and the reason I literally dusted off the podcast mic the second her new stand-up special My Life on the PTSD List dropped on YouTube. My apartment might be a mess (same with my life), but Kathy just supercharged me back to life.

It’s been seven weeks since I last took this mic for a spin, and baby, I’m back—sun-kissed, slightly haunted, and armed with the most unhinged birthday gift ever conjured from the digital abyss.

I may be on a spring hiatus, but when a cheating scandal rocks paranormal pop culture—featuring one of my all-time favorite celebs to stan and my all-time favorite ghost bro to drag—you know I had to grab the mic and get messy.

Alright, Bravo babes—this Espresso Shot is fever-drenched, unhinged, and fashionably late because I was mid-edit when Part Two of the RHOBH Reunion hit me like Rinna throwing a wine glass at Kim Richards. I tossed the script, ran to the mic, and started ranting—because the drama demanded it.

Alright, ghost darlings—this espresso shot is nuclear because Ghost Adventures just dropped a new season (???) and the real-life drama is scarier than a basement full of demons. What season is it? 25? 29? Zak won’t say, IMDb doesn’t know, and at this point, neither does the Travel Channel. But a brand new trailer just dropped, and I’m live-reacting in real-time—because you know this show never fails to deliver some ghost-hunting reality TV theater that desperately needed my intellect.

For this chaotic hott mess coffee break recorded on a lazy Sunday Funday, I welcome back one of my closest friends, the magical and marvelous Davey Calico, for a gloriously unhinged deep dive into my all-time favorite movie—John Waters’ Female Trouble. For part two of this coffee break with Cathy Till, we depart from Blaze Starr and get into all about the fabulosity of queer nightlife in Baltimore with now-closed hotspots like The Hippo and Grand Central, and her and my stories from going out to this clubs. Then we dish about reality tv with some bitching about Zak Bagans, why gays ghost hunt better with Kindred Spirits, followed by gossip about The Real Housewives with why Cathy stopped watching. This is such an amazing episode and Cathy is truly an icon and queen.

For this Espresso Shot, I deep dive into Madonna’s 1991 iconic Truth or Dare documentary, but before I got into my queen, I had to go into all the wild Bravo news that broke before the weekend plus me just bitching about the traffic here in Baltimore from the Key Bridge Disastor and some The Valley with Jax Taylor and his bullshit. After my rant, I get into why Madonna is the greatest pop star of all time, and why the Truth or Dare documentary is the greatest of all time, including my theater analysis of it. It’s a good time, ending with Kathy Griffin with her appearance in a parody movie called Medusa: Dare to be Truthful. About halfway through, I get messy with a bong hit and start workshopping some of my edgy (and raunchy) stand-up comedy, so enjoy!!

Since we all run in the same social circles of creatives and comics, I decided to have them both on together and forced them to watch season 1 of Vanderpump Rules for their thoughts and comedic takes on this masterpiece of a reality TV show, as well as their theories and humor on Lady Gaga, Showgirls, the Baltimore accents in the news coverage of The Key Bridge Disaster, Gay Culture, Martha Stewart, Liquid Death, and whatever other wild topics pop out of my brain. For this espresso shot episode, it’s a hot mess of me just dishing about pop culture. I go hardcore into bitching about The Valley and a bunch of other Bravo news before going into Quiet on Set with the dark side of Nickelodeon and how I wasn't surprised by the allegations, finishing with why Martha Stewart is one of the greatest people alive. I call it “Vanderpump Rules’ Gay Older Cousin”, but this show aired on Logo and was branded as a queer version of The Real Housewives focusing on the lives of “Aspirational” gay men living in New York City, but sorta misses the mark as it reads more Vanderpump Rules than Real Housewives… and I get into all of it in all my comedic glory with some other Pop Culture intellect thrown in as well. For this two-part Coffee Break, I beamed down at CCBC (Community College of Baltimore County) in Essex, Maryland to have a chat with Mallory Kimmel. Mallory is an artist, social sculptor, and curator of a new art exhibition titled "I Don't Dream of Labor" at The Galleries at CCBC. For part two, we go into crafting as fine art, her grad school experience in Northern California at CCA (California College of the Arts), her fabulous works “Two Person Tampon” and “Hands-free Spoon”, and her experience curating “I don’t dream of Labor”.  ENJOY!! 

For this two-part Coffee Break, I beamed down at CCBC (Community College of Baltimore County) in Essex, Maryland to have a chat with Mallory Kimmel. Mallory is an artist, social sculptor, and curator of a new art exhibition titled "I Don't Dream of Labor" at The Galleries at CCBC. For part one, we go into why she is curating this fabulous and intellectually provocative art show, with the nefarious nature of our hyper-capitalistic work hustle culture, as well as her upbringing in Montgomery County, Maryland and undergraduate schooling at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania, with Bigfoot and a wild paranormal tale in there as well. For this coffee break, I recorded live at Haven in Havre de Grace for Mellow Mondays with fan favorite and good spooky friend Para Anne, with about a quarter of the way through,  joined by Sharon, a queen who is a part of the Haven family. The three of us gossip about paranormal pop culture, our many witchy adventures  in Havre de Grace and the greater Baltimore/Philly area, as well as dish about our favorite horror movies and the cultured history of Havre de Grace. Then I dish about a wild paranormal adventure I had a few weeks ago involving me banishing the spirit of a pedophile catholic priest from a friend's basement and going to a underground punk show to see the Baltimore based band Trash Diva, than I end it with a solid 20 mins on the best show ever Vanderpump Rules, with my thoughts on this current season four episodes in and my general comedic takes and scholarly analysis. For this coffee break, I chat with my best friend and legendary comic Stoney Williams for a winter catch-up, where we were drinking beer and shooting the shit with this hot mess of an episode being the result. We chat about messy sexual escapades and intimacy choreography and then go into a mental health episode I had in January where we run that experience through our comedy filter, followed by some pop culture chat about P!nk, Iggy Azealia, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B., Kat Williams, Rihanna, and others. The beers kick in about halfway through the recording, so we go off the rails towards the end with some wild and wonderful chatter... ENJOY!!

I lost my voice for most of January, so I start out bitching about that, followed by some talk on Joan Crawford. Then onto Bravo where I get into the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere, where I talk about what I want out of VPR this season. Then onto The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills where I spill a strange synchronicity I had with Khalil Gabron’s poem The Prophet, mentioned on this most recent episode while they are in Spain. Followed by my confessing my love for The Real Housewives of Miami and how it is the best franchise on Bravo as they are playing by the early 2010’s Real Housewives rule book that legacy Bravo fans click with, along with some Bravo history with Being Bobby Brown, Hey Paula!, and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Then I end it with chatter about Wendy Williams and her upcoming docuseries on Lifetime. Enjoy!!

For this EPIC TWO-PART Coffee Break, I beamed down to the eastern edge of Baltimore to chat with comic and Ouija board expert Ursula Griffin. For Part Two, Ursula and I get spookier and dish all about the ghosts at The State Theater of Havre de Grace, Ursula’s takes on Zak Bagans and Ghost Adventures, Havre de Grace in the 1920s, Ursula spills some ghost stories from her childhood in North New Jersey, Haven in Havre de Grace, seeing full-bodied apparitions, the drama around my Occult themed paint night last spring at Haven,  ending with an epic comedic take down of the Christian Ouija Board that you can find on Amazon!! This truly was a fun coffee break that needed two episodes, with some cat drama thrown in!!

For this EPIC TWO-PART Coffee Break, I beamed down to the eastern edge of Baltimore to chat with comic and Ouija board expert Ursula Griffin. For Part One, I made Ursula watch Paris Hilton’s Paris in Love... the iconic reality show available on Peacock and we go on a wild coffee break about early 2000’s pop culture like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, our shared comedy idol Kathy Griffin, John Waters, Baltimore, Lindsay Lohan, Anna Nicole Smith, and a truly amazing backstage story from Ursula involving two famous celebs being messy. I also go into The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills connection to Paris in Love, with some Denise Richards and Vanderpump Rules thrown in as well. This truly was a fun coffee break that needed two episodes, with some cat drama thrown in!!

For this special snow day espresso shot, I take the mic solo to rant about my life recently along with this week's Bravo as I used this snow day to catch up on all of the mess that is The Real Housewives. I go into the Salt Lake City reunion, The Kyle of it all on Beverly Hills with how Anna Marie is a dud, The promo of Bravo’s new show staring Vanderpump Rules stars Jax, Britney, and Kristen Doute… with a rant about why Kristen Doute is the greatest reality star ever. For this very special coffee break, I beam down in Washington, DC to chat with Mandy Slutzer, host of the Is This Real Life? podcast about everything happening in the Bravo Universe. We get  into all of it… RHOP,  RHONY legacy and the reboot, RHOBH, RHOM, RHOSLC, a little bit of RHOC, and Vanderpump Rules. Mandy brings up some very good points about several of the cast members that I didn't know and we have a very empathic and nuanced discussion about our mutual love of Bravo!!

For this Espresso shot coffee break, I take to the UFO's mic solo to go into Paris Hilton and her second season of Paris in Love on Peacock. This show delivered but before I took it down, I went on a rant about seeing the DC stop of Madonna’s Celebration concert tour which was amazing. I go into the high theater of this show with Madonna’s 1991 documentary Truth or Dare, and the AIDS crisis of that period with my PSA on safe queer sex. Then the main event, Paris in Love which is just ripe for a comedic taken down, like her dog-cloning storyline, Paris’s Surrogate journey, and the Kathy Hilton of it all. For this Coffee Break, I beamed down at Gallery 220 in Havre de Grace to chat with Punk Queen Liz Lawson about the 2017 movie Bomb City, directed by Jameson Brooks, about the 1997 murder of punk skateboarder Brian Deneke in Amarillo, TX. Liz and I go into all of it… the Us vs. Them mentality that is so present in our society, the punk sub-cultures we both are a part of, who Brian is with his legacy including Marilyn Manson’s 2000 speech on disinformation where he mentioned Brian, and the 2000 ABC News 20/20 episode on the murder and trail. Along with conversations about the movie; Liz talks about her punk journey, sharing an art studio together at Gallery 220 with the changing Havre de Grace art scene, Liz’s Open to Truth or Change installation art exhibition that happened this past summer, and the nature of modern media and social media of our society and its roots that can be seen in this movie. This is a very informative episode where you just might learn something about punks and our postive contributions to society. 

Tuesday’s season four finale of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was so good that after rewatching the episode three times to process it all,  I had to take to the Mic in the middle of the night to do an emergency espresso shot solo episode on all of it as it was some of the best reality TV theater I have ever watched. For today's Coffee Break, I beam down to Gallery 220 in Havre de Grace, MD, to have a coffee chat with Lexi Hauck. Lexi is a local creative, photographer, filmmaker, theater kid, and art administrator in my friend circle in Havre de Grace. I had Lexi watch one of my favorite movies from 2000, Erin Brockovich, starring Julia Roberts and we talked about Erin being such a Baltimore woman who has a John Waters vibe. We dish about the paranormal activities of Gallery 220 and The State Theater of Havre de Grace, Haven, John Waters, the magic of Baltimore, the new creative scene popping up in Havre de Grace, Street photography, filming the paparazzi scene of #RockStarLife: The Art Film, photography done on an iPhone vs an actual camera,  the ethics of mid 2000’s paparazzi, and so much more! Also, towards the end... I go into a rant about Erin Brockovich's connection to Erika Jayne from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules!! This was such a fun coffee break, and we dish out everything that makes Baltimore the best for young, punk creatives.

This is a very special coffee break… I brought Davey Calico onto the UFO to travel and beam down in Gettysburg, PA to force him to watch and discuss the greatest reality show on earth, Vanderpump Rules... specially the first two episodes of season six with the whole Jax/Faith cheating scandal.  I probe his mind into all of it; our self-care vacation in Gettysburg, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Witchcraft, Davey’s take on modern media, our shared friend circle in Havre de Grace, my healing catharsis watching and studying Vanderpump Rules, Davey’s Vegan journey, and just a spiritually intellectual ride that is a conversation with the marvelous Davey Calico.

For this very special Christmas Espresso Shot episode, I do a solo comedic takedown of The Real Housewives of New York City's iconic episode “December: Berkshire County” which aired in 2016, which gives us Dorinda’s infamous “I made it nice” meltdown. I go into all of it, including what led up to Dorinda's freak out, as well as Luann’s high-horse trampling all over everyone, and just why RHONY is the best reality show of all time as it is high theater. Ending with a special gift from Santa of me giving you Zenobia Darling doing Dorinda’s monologue from this episode. ENJOY, and Merry Christmas!!

Jenni is a Rockstar poet, artist, massage therapist, and all around bad-ass creative who is a part of the up-and-coming creative scene here in Havre de Grace. We chit-chat about living in Las Vegas, The Art of Drag at Gallery 220, spirituality and the paranormal, recovery, her experience as a black woman in America, gay dating in Havre de Grace, cats, pop culture, Vanderpump Rules,  and reality TV. We get into almost everything on Bravo; Potomac, Old and New New York, Miami, Beverly Hills, New Jersey, Vanderpump Rules, Melbourne, Cheshire, Johannesburg, Salt Lake City, ending with a good, intellectual bitching about Ree Drummond… The Pioneer Woman. This is such a special episode with no ridiculous and iconic moment from The Real Housewives universe left untalked about, like life living in the DMV, Jenna Lyons being a boring, withholding lesbian, my Bravo-style art film, Candiace’s Drive Back being amazing, why Dorinda is the best housewife, our mutual admiration of Ryan Bailey, DC and Baltimore gays, why we need unhinged lesbian Kyle, why you shouldn’t sleep on the African versions of The Real Housewives,  drag gossip about why Erika is an awful person,  and why Larsa is the absolute worst. This is the best, and if you love Bravo… pour yourself an espresso martini with some Vida Tequila and listen to two ridiculous Bravoholics go back and forth over coffee in outer space!!!

ParaAnne is back!!! For this Coffee Break, ParaAnne, Host of the Coffee with the Dead podcast and Founder/Lead Investigator of Spirits Wake Paranormal based here in Harford County... where I am a paranormal investigator, is back for another SUPERSIZED episode. I made ParaAnne and her husband, Noah, hate-watch Ghost Adventures when Zak and the gang investigated and antagonized the demons at Bob Mackey’s Music World in Kentucky. These episodes delivers, and we go in on all of it like the paranormal pop culture appearances of  Bob Mackey’s, Zak's theatrical influences,  Las Vegas, why Zak is a Real Housewife in the paranormal reality TV universe, and Zak’s book Dark World: Into the Shadows with the Lead Investigator of The Ghost Adventures Crew.

Comic and Artist Stoney Williams returns for a fall catch-up with this coffee break!! I had Stoney review pop artist Slayyyter’s newest album STARFUCKER to get his takes on this pop masterpiece as well as intellectually comedic conversations about the magic of Wendy Williams, Madonna, and our mutual friend Davey. We also go deep on why black women and gay men are such iconic friends, Slam Poetry and Stoney’s history with doing this fun literary performing art, the opening of my art exhibition “The Art of Drag”, and finish with a chat about the paranormal happenings around the “Projects” of Havre de Grace where Stoney and I both live. For Thanksgiving, I wanted to give thanks to all my Darling listeners by answering your questions for a Espresso Shot solo episode. Back in October, I posted on my Instagram stories asking my followers to submit the questions you listeners are dying to have me answer and boy did you deliver. Most of these are focused on Bravo’s Real Housewives with a Madonna and a House of Villains question in there as well. I did not hold back for this and spilled my thoughts on the RHONY reboot, why Miami is the best franchise in Bravo, why Larsa Pippen is my favorite housewife to hate, why Monica is the best casting choice for RHOSLC, and just all the messy, but intellectually comedic glory that one of my espresso shot episodes give.  Also, there is a cameo from my cat Melvin during this as well. For this Coffee Break, I sit down with comic Thezz Grimes to chit-chat about all things that revolve around our shared hometown of Havre de Grace, Maryland. We chat for a long time about stand-up comedy, Vanderpump Rules, Only Fans porn stars, The Goonies, The Real World and Road Rules, small-town Facebook group drama, real life John Waters characters, and just tons of other ridiculous stuff in and around this small town in Maryland with some pop culture nostalgia. This is a fun one, and you really get to hear us both as the famous comedians and the local Havre de Gracians behind the comedy.  

For this Coffee Break, I sit down with my friend Big Nick to chit-chat about all the things that this local comic and all-around good dude brings. We talk about the local comedy scene, UFOs and aliens, old school Paranormal reality tv,  Towson University, Cecil County, MD with the oddities present in this unique part of Maryland, and Nick’s experiences dating. For my favorite holiday of the year, Halloween, I wanted to celebrate by doing a special Espresso Shot comedy monologue takedown of the Ghost Adventures: Devil Island Halloween Special that was released on Discovery+ for Spooky Season 2023. This episode delivered, and I ranted for a solid 40 minutes about all of it… Zak’s outfit choice,  similarities to Bravo brand of reality content, Aleister Crowley, the ridiculous antics of GAC, US immigration, San Francisco, The Whore of Babylon, and a side note on The Real Housewives of Miami trailer that dropped while I was watching this special. For this coffee break, I sit down with local Comic BAM Jacobs to have him watch one of my favorite movies, Showgirls, to get the straight guy take on this cult classic film about Las Vegas showgirls. We deep dive into the amazing and cringy parts of this movie, plus the Havre de Grace comedy scene, Kathy Griffin, The Kardashians, Havre de Grace “townies” gossip, Porn stars, Tim Dillion, and how comics are the philosophers in this political climate. On this supersized Halloween special episode, I beam down to The State Theater of Havre de Grace to have a coffee break with Para Anne, Host of the Coffee with the Dead podcast and Founder/Lead Investigator of Spirits Wake Paranormal based here in Harford County.  I made Para Anne watch two of my favorite episodes of the paranormal reality show, Ghost Adventures, to get her take on this gem in paranormal content and GAC’s style of paranormal investigation. The two Ghost Adventures episodes Para Anne hate-watched for me are the episode from Season 3 where Zak and crew lockdown on the infamous Poveglia Island in the Venetian Lagoon and Season 15’s episode “Stardust Ranch” where the crew dives into UFO/Alien phenomenon in addition to the paranormal. We humorously recap, analyze, and throw shade at both episodes, including what theatrics are at work to make Ghost Adventures such a hit, go into Para Anne’s history with the many ghosts in Havre de Grace, why Perryman, MD is the best place in Harford County to experience ghosts, paranormal adventures in Las Vegas, old school tv psychics and paranormal shows, horror movies, and finish with how to ethically ghost hunt. Stoney gives his critiques and comedic commentary on this glimpse behind the scenes of the amazing drag show that happens on the last Sunday of each month at the State Theater of Havre de Grace, and in true us fashion, we went off onto a whole multitude of conversations about voodoo, John Waters Movies, cats, and the cultural explosion that is bubbling up in Havre de Grace that both Stoney and I are a part of. Buckle up because this is a messy and hilarious episode.
