Leia finally confronts the wicked entity behind the voice that has been giving terrible advice to her afterlife colleagues, leading to an epic showdown (involving a sex doll head) that even the 18 levels of hell have never seen!
Leia realises that her advice to her ghost colleagues has led them to harm, including Pontianak and her living daughter, Farah. But was it even Leia’s advice to begin with? As she digs deeper, she discovers something sinister in the recorded conversations between herself and the ghosts.
Back in the flow of things, Leia counsels the faceless ghost Noppera-Bo, and Ma Da, the water ghost of Vietnamese origin. Ma Da is unable to haunt unsuspecting young swimmers in Singapore waters these days, because modern parents are suffocatingly overprotective. Leia takes a call from Ma Phae Wah, a Burmese ghost that roams HDB flats built above exhumed cemeteries. She would normally be hunting for babies, but finds that the Singaporean birth rate is just not cutting it. Leia also receives an offer to return to her former company and previous life.

Leia comes face-to-face with Pontianak, the fearsome femme fatale of Southeast Asian folklore. Pontianak’s recent haunting struggles stem from ridehailing and dating apps, as they have changed the behaviors of her two most common groups of victims, taxi uncles and horny men.
The Headless Horseman, an expat-turned-ghost who lost his head after riding his horse into a plantation of low-hanging durians, is being turfed out of his regular haunts as horse racing venues are shutting down across Singapore. LEIA devises an ingenious plan to help him get ahead of the impending shutdowns.
