Mismanaging the puck. Mismanaging line changes. Overemotional and undisciplined. Mix together in a bowl for 60 minutes to achieve the finished product: losing a winnable game. The Florida Panthers take a win against the Bruins in Monday's matinee game without star players Matthew Tkachuk and Aleksander Barkov. The fourth line showed up to play yet again for the Bruins, but very few of their buddies cared to join them. The search for consistency continues.

Poitras Returns; Bruins Beat Kings in OT 10/12/24

Saturday saw the Bruins earn a victory on home ice over the Los Angeles in OT. The matinee game also served as the stage for Matt Poitras' return to the Bruins lineup - a stage upon which he made an immediate impact. Mason Lohrei showed up in a big moment after being healthy scratched the game prior, and David Pastrnak did what he does best when it mattered most.

Bruins Beat Canadiens in Swayman’s Return 10/10/24

The Bruins took a step forward and picked up their first win of the season against the Habs on Thursday night. Mark Kastellic and Cole Koepke led the way (yes, seriously) for the Bruins, while McAvoy and Pastrnak each scored for the second consecutive game. Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm each chipped in with multi-point efforts. Net-front issues not withstanding, the game was an improvement on their first outing. The B’s checked into the win column and welcomed back their ace in net.

Bruins Pounded by Panthers 10/8/24

The Boston Bruins opened the season on Thursday on the receiving end of a South Florida beating. An emotional Bruins team couldn't match the pace of the defending Stanley Cup champions, and were outclassed from start to finish. Despite an impressive performance or two from skaters in black and gold sweaters, the first game of the season has the Bruins in the loss column to open up play in the 24-25 season.
