On today's season ending edition of the cast, we recap the 2025-26 Northeastern men's hockey campaign with a look back at their final three games against UMass Lowell, Maine, and BC, including their Hockey East opening round win against UNH and their loss to the UMass Minutemen in the quarterfinals that ended their season. We take a look back at some of the positives from this season, including some unexpected wins in the first half against Denver and some heartbreaking losses in the second half including their gutwrenching loss to BU in the Matthews Arena grand finale. We talk about what the future of the team looks like with the departure of Vinny Borgesi and potentially many other players leaving via the portal. We also talk about how Northeastern Athletics needs to do better in terms of communicating better effectively with the fans and not leaving them high and dry while they're waiting for the new arena to be built and having to schlep around on the road for the foreseeable future.

On today's all new edition of 7th Corner, we recap the Huskies early exit from the Beanpot Semis as they got trounced by BU in a shootout. We dissect everything that went wrong for the Huskies, and how they almost had a chance after an interference call on BU gave the Huskies a power play late in the OT period, but they couldn't capitalize. We go over the chances the Huskies had and how they've lost momentum and some of their grit and determination from the first half of the season. We also go over their loss against UConn at Bentley Arena, and also go over this past weekend's split against Providence which gives the team a glimmer of hope, and I give you an update on the Huskies current spot in the Hockey East standings as they have a slight chance of getting home ice advantage if they can string together some W's late in the season.

On today's all new 7th Corner, we dissect the Huskies recent downswing as they get swept by Merrimack on the road and dropped a contest against UMass this past Friday at Mullins Center. We recap all the games to further examine the Huskies power outage at offense, and how the Huskies need to quickly turn things around before this season becomes a lost cause. We also take a look at the Huskies current win-loss record, and how they can still quickly turn things around if they want to get on a little run before the end of the season. The attention shifts towards the Beanpot Semis tomorrow night at The Garden vs. BU, and how they can use this as motivation to light a fire under their butts and recapture some of their early season magic again.

On today's all new edition of 7th Corner to start out the year, we recap the Huskies recent road skids against Army & Vermont, and talk about what went wrong in those games and how the Huskies recent lapses in defense are causing some level of concern for the dogs as they head into a crucial stretch of games before the Beanpot. We talk about what the Huskies can improve upon, and how they have to learn how to not duplicate those same mistakes and leave them in the past where they can focus on the road ahead. We also chat about their recent sweep of UNH and how that has given them some added mojo as they head off to Lawler Rink to face Merrimack later on this week.

On today's special edition of 7th Corner, we recap the Huskies grand finale as we bid farewell to Matthews Arena in a grand send-off ceremony that saw the Huskies come out short in their battle against BU, losing 4-3. We recap all the game action, and how the Huskies nearly won the game late, but fell victim to two late goals from BU that left some fans disappointed, but nevertheless held their heads high. I also recap the sendoff ceremony that saw the Huskies bring out players from their years past including Art Chisholm, Wayne Turner, and Jordan Harris to represent the different decades of Huskies hockey that have called Matthews Arena their home over the years. I also give you some personal thoughts over my travels to Matthews as a season ticket holder for the last 8 years, and talk about some emotional and poignant moments that have represented why I love Huskies hockey so much, and what it means to me personally and how much the team has become like an extended family to me with all the different players that have put on the uniform over the years.

On today's edition of 7th Corner, we recap last week's split against UMass and talk about how the Huskies gave up a lead in regulation, but persevered and came back to win in OT that shows their resilience and their never say die attitude that has been on display all throughout the season. We recap the Hockey East and the USCHO standings where the Huskies stand at #11 and talk about how the team is in a good spot, and can take some solace knowing that they're in striking distance of the top teams of the country, while also remaining neck in neck with Maine for third place in Hockey East. And finally, we talk about the Matthews Arena grand farewell against BU on Saturday and give you the three things you need to know, plus some information about pregame festivities and the post game ceremony, plus I give you some personal thoughts on some of my favorite moments, games, and memories from Matthews over the years and what led me to becoming a Husky fan in the first place.

On today's edition of 7th Corner, we recap the Huskies home at home split against BU from two weeks ago, and how Northeastern was able to steal a win later in the home tilt at Matthews against the Terriers, and forced OT in the Agganis matchup only to fall in OT. We talk about how goalie Quentin Sigurdson came through in an emergency situation due to the unexpected injury involving Lawton Zacher and delivering two quality starts that shows his versatility and as a valuable commodity coming off the bench. We also take a look at the goal distribution coming from all the freshmen on the team, and how this plan of attack is paying off early dividends for the Huskies and making them a more balanced and complete team in the process. I also recap the Huskies Thanksgiving weekend matchup last weekend against Brown as they took care of the Bears 4-1, and how Dylan Hryckowian has come through as the spirited and true leader of this team, capable of anything he sees fit and who just received the Hockey East Player of the Month award for November.

We talk about what went wrong, and how the Huskies left their foot off the pedal and how the Huskies can better protect huge leads moving forward. We also examine the increased visibility and presence of the freshmen, including Giacomo Martino who has come in clutch with his goal scoring, and his impeccable on-ice awareness and raw hockey intelligence that has made him a viable commodity on the team. I also give you the 3 things you need to know as the Huskies taks on the BU Terriers this weekend for a huge home at home clash and what the Huskies need to do to bring their A game and dominate right from the outset. I also give you an update on Northeastern's position in the USCHO national rankings as well.

We recap both games and continue to highlight the stout performance of Lawton Zacher getting his 3rd shutout of the season, and the phenomenal play of freshmen Giacomo Martino and Amine Hajibi who have blossomed and evolved into a tour de force who are wise and talented beyond their years. I also get you ready for this weekend's home at home against UConn with the three things you need to know and how the NU Huskies face off against the UConn Huskies in style and technique. We also check in with the USCHO rankings where Northeastern has jumped to #11 in the poll and how they've capitalized on the sluggish play of the other teams to jump into the national conversation early on and right away.

On today's edition of 7th Corner, we recap last weekend's exhilarating games that saw Northeastern sweep the home at home series versus their rival Boston College at Conte Forum on Thursday, and home at Matthews Arena on Halloween night. We talk about the tremendous play of Lawton Zacher as he only gave up 1 goal all weekend, and earned his second shutout of the season and how Northeastern was unrelenting in their power and might against BC to secure another victory against a ranked opponent, and improve to 3-0 in Hockey East play. We also preview this weekend's games against Stonehill on Homecoming Weekend at Matthews as the Huskies look to avoid the pitfall of a potential trap game, and continue to ride their momentum and learn not to take the opportunity and the opponent for granted. We also take a look at the many honors bestowed upon Lawton Zacher and Vinny Borgesi including National Goalie of The Month and Hockey East Player of The Month honors for Lawton, and Borgesi getting a Hockey East Player of The Week honor along with being named to the 2025 Spengler Cup roster announced earlier today.

We attempt to make sense of the temporary home game situation currently in flux as they split time between Walter Brown Arena and Bright-Landry Hockey Center amongst others.

We talk about what style of play we can expect from the Huskies this year, take a look at some of the fresh faces and a recap of some of the departures from last year as well. We talk about how this year being the last year at Matthews will galvanize and motivate the team even further, and allow them to play at a higher level which may surprise some people and some of the hockey prognosticators. We also take a look at their schedule which features some tough opponents against nationally ranked teams, and how the Huskies need a strong showing early on in the season if they want to make a lasting impression.

On the season premiere of 7th Corner, we talk about the upcoming 2025-26 season with my partner in crime Joey Maiullari as we discuss all the departures in the offseason, including the stunning departure of goaltender Cameron Whitehead to the Vegas Golden Knights and how Northeastern looks to handle the goalie tandem this year with Quentin Sigurdson, newcomer Matt DellaRusso, and Lawton Zacher a transfer coming in from Brown. We take a look at how the Huskies looks to handle their offensive corps this year, and give you our picks for some breakout stars to keep an eye out on, and we discuss the elevation of Vinny Borgesi to team captain and how that leadership role will help the younger players develop some skills and confidence to be better players and make an immediate impact on the ice. And with this being the last season at Matthews Arena, Joey and I discuss our picks for our favorite regular season game at Matthews and what the Huskies might have up their sleeves for a grand farewell at the end of the season.

On today's summer edition of 7th Corner, we go over the list of players that Northeastern recruited over the summer that includes nine freshman, four transfers, eight forwards, four defensemen, and two goaltenders. We go over every single player in great detail, where they played, where they're from, their skill set, player stats, and what they bring to the table and how they fit into Keefe's system to get indoctrinated into the Husky way. I also give you my thoughts on how the team has improved over last year, and how they've addressed some personnel issues and gaps in certain areas, most notably goaltender after the departure of Cameron Whitehead to the Vegas Golden Knights and also have the players learn from the upperclassmen to get a better understanding and confidence as they look to potentially contribute in any way they can on the ice.

On today's special summer edition of 7th Corner, we talk about the announcement of the final home games at Matthews Arena this fall, highlighted by Army and Denver's first visit to Matthews Arena and talk about the aura and excitement of having these two teams come in what is sure to be guaranteed sell-outs. We also talk about what is to be expected for the final home games at Matthews which will officially conclude on Dec. 13 as BU visits for the final time, and how emotional and sad it will be as Matthews ushers in its final days. Lastly, we discuss what possible venues the Huskies will call their temporary home for the next few years as Warrior Ice Arena and Walter Brown Arena have been floated as possible sites but nothing has been firmly set in stone as of yet.
