Day 4 of Roland Garros 2026 was...eventful to say the least. We might've seen the upset of the tournament with World No. 2 Elena Rybakina going down to Yuliia Starodubtseva. We later witnessed the most heartbreaking moment after Hailey Baptiste was forced to retire with a brutal knee injury. Xinyu Wang and Tamara Korpatsch had a testy line call dispute, leading to no handshake. Jakub Mensik suffered extreme cramps due to extreme heat conditions. And Belgian rising star Alexander Blockx might be gearing up to sue the tournament.

Daniil Medvedev and Jessica Pegula were the biggest casualties on Day 3 of Roland Garros 2026 which could bolster Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka's title hopes. Moise Kouame earned a historic first round win vs Marin Cilic, while Naomi Osaka made a statement before hitting a ball with the debut of her couture ensemble.

Some criticized Kostyuk's decision to not shake hands with Andreeva or directly acknowledge her in the trophy ceremony. I also break down the Rome draw which could bring some early challenges for both top seeds Sabalenka and Sinner.

Meanwhile on the men's side, Jannik Sinner and Rafael Jodar set up a QF clash that could be just as intriguing.
