The NCAA Softball Tournament (2026) is down to the Super Regionals, and the stakes couldn't be higher amongst the 16 remaining teams. We also make predictions for the eight series that will take place beginning on Thursday, May 21st.

Sports Agent Lee Johnson of the Lee Johnson Agency recently joined 10th Inning Talk to discuss her life as an agent, how she balances it all, what she recommends to her clients, and how to remain steadfast in this space, especially as a woman. College softball and baseball are currently in the full swing while in conference play. Major League Baseball is about to have its Opening Day for the 2026 season, BUT I am ready to share my experience with you in attending the 2026 World Baseball Classic here in Houston, TX. I love all things baseball and softball, and this World Baseball Classic ranks very high as one of my favorite sporting events to watch and attend. I am so happy to share with you why.

Baseball and softball are sports that continue to attract new viewers both professionally and collegiately. This past weekend, I had the opportunity to talk to the VP of Bruce Bolt and the GM of the Atlanta Smoke (Professional Softball League-PSL), Eric Mays. Bruce Bolt recently sponsored a college, baseball classic (tournament) in Houston, TX at Daikin Park. With athletic gear that assists players on the field to perform at their best while also guiding professional softball, Eric Mays discusses how both of these are essential at leading our young people and the sport forward and how we can be prepared for what's to come regarding both equipment and play on the field.

The time is almost here...THE 2026 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC! This is one of the most exciting times that baseball fans will experience, and I want to make sure that you are covered in knowing which teams will be playing in which pools, who is projected to win the pools and be runner-ups, and who will ultimately take home the title of the World Baseball Classic Champion. 2026 is set to be even more exciting than 2023, and I cannot wait to experience this moment with you. I also have some college softball and baseball updates because the seasons are starting off in ways that have already left fans breathless. Ultimately, baseball and softball are underway in 2026, and 10th Inning Talk has covered all bases to keep you ready for each moment.

Last year at the HBCU Classic, I had the pleasure of meeting two people who were happily cheering on their sons. I had a great conversation with them while also meeting their two sons, Paxton and Peyton, who played on opposing teams during the classic tournament. As they continue their collegiate journey as student-athletes, I had a discussion with both about their journey in college, what motivates/inspires them, and what they expect for the upcoming 2026 season. It's always special when we get to experience brothers play a sport that they love. It's even more special when they play competitively on opposite teams, ESPECIALLY in the sport of baseball. We are all familiar with College Baseball, Major League Baseball, the Winter Leagues, and even the upcoming World Baseball Classic. However, there are some people who take their baseball talents and play overseas. Troy Justice joins the 10th Inning to discuss how he learned about overseas ball, how he's adapted, and how others can join in on this incredible experience in different parts of the world. On Thursday, November 20th, history was officially made with the inaugural WPBL (Women's Professional Baseball League) Draft. Join the 10th Inning as I discuss some of the ladies who are drafted, the first four teams of the league, and the location the first year of the WPBL. The AUSL will also be having their Expansion Draft VERY soon. The 2025 MLB season is officially over and a new World Series winner has been crowned. This has been one of the most exciting postseasons that I have personally witnessed, but the ending, the World Series, also delivered such high moments. Fans of Major League Baseball have experienced some excellent postseason games in the NLCS and the ALCS. We've also witnessed historical moments and star play from Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Vlad Guerrero Jr, and Julio Rodriguez to name a few. Still, one of the largest stories has been people online discussing if the Dodgers are ruining baseball. In this episode, I address this concern about the Dodgers while also highlighting some big moments from the Championship Series. October is the best time of the year for Major League Baseball fans because that means that it is time for postseason baseball. The best of the National League and the American League meet up to battle it out to compete in the World Series. You cannot talk baseball and softball without discussing the role and significance of the umpire. This week, I got the opportunity to talk to the first woman to umpire a Division 1 baseball game. That woman is THE Natola Hawthorne. She is not just significant from a historical standpoint, but she gives excellent information on the role of the umpire in a way that you may have never considered along with how it all came to be. This episode was historical, moving, and an important point for all of us to see the significance of women in this space AND how we can all benefit from learning, promoting, and being in the moment of the evolution and acceptance of Women in Sports. We have officially made it to Episode 20 of 10th Inning Talk. A great way to celebrate was to have Just Geefs come on and discuss that fateful 5th inning of the Yankees during the World Series, the greatness of the AUSL's inaugural season, what it means to be a fan of both baseball and softball as a woman, and a bit of "10 to the End". The AUSL officially concluded its season with the All-Star Cup ending on August 31st and crowning its inaugural winner. I discuss who the Top 4 are, from where you may know them, and crown the actual winner. The AUSL also released their top jersey sales, and I definitely wanted to discuss who these players are and how you can purchase them. Finally, MVP talks are ramping up in MLB. Do you have a pick? Alignment brings happiness and peace to anyone who experiences it. Now, add that to both softball and baseball. In this episode, I discuss how alignment positively affects softball through the AUSL and the Team USA softball team that recently competed in the Team World Games. I also discussed the possibility of alignment and expansion teams to the MLB. What will it look like and what are some questions that still linger? Ultimately, alignment is here and can benefit not just people individually, but also softball and baseball.

Major League Baseball is progressing forward. For the first time ever, a woman served as an umpire during an MLB game. In this episode, I discuss how it made me feel to watch Jen Pawol become MLB's first woman umpire. I also discuss how to continue to serve as an ally for women in this space. The AUSL concluded its inaugural season and crowned its first champion. Though the season may be over, professional softball fans will have the opportunity to continue to engage with the AUSL through the All-Star Cup that takes place August 2nd-31st. I discuss all about this new competition that the AUSL is bringing to fans that gives us all a new way to engage in softball. I also discuss the new additions to Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame along with the timing. Can't wait to share this episode with you.
