Josh played for Akron from 2012-2017. Before Akron Josh played for the Youngstown Phantoms and Wooster Oilers.

Joey played for Akron from 2010-12 before starting the roller hockey program at Akron. He’s had a fun career in golf course design and management before heading the the racetrack to train winning racehorses.

Alex played for Akron for 2 seasons 2015-17. Very fun person who is humble and kind. We loved having Alex at Akron and miss his laugh and story telling

Jake is a law student at Akron. Originally from Western PA and was a captain at IUP before coming to Akron

Chris Ginley was involved with Akron hockey form 2014-2017 as the Operations Coordinator.

Frankie played for the Zips from 2010-2014. Known as a goal scorer, Frank always had more goals than assists. Currently he is a firefighter in the Cleveland area.

Cory played for the Zips from 2011-16. Originally from Port Hope Canada and now resides in Ohio where he coaches with the Wooster youth program.

Vince played the last 4 years with the Akron Zips in some capacity. His ITP condition curbed his on-ice career but not his passion. Currently he is coaching with The Battery Hockey Academy at their Strongsville location

David Cox played for the Zips from 2013-17. He has coached under Coach Revak at University School and now coaches at The Battery Hockey Academy in Columbus.

Justin Miller attends Akron and played from 2017-19 on the roller hockey team. Currently the host of ‘Hear me out’ on 88.1 WZIP. Excited to share his story and hear about his Akron experience

Jimmy Lacko player from 2009-12. After leaving Akron Jimmy joined the military where he deployed overseas. A great story teller and ball of great energy. This is one you’ll absolutely love.

Ryan Morse played for Akron from 2012-2013. Currently, he is the head coach for the Central Michigan D3 ACHA team, a perennial national title contender.

Matt played for the Zips from 2007-12 while getting his degree in education. He currently teaches 5th/6th math and social studies as well as coaching for University School. Matt was around as Akron hockey went from glorified adult league team into a well run club program. He has so many fun stories it’s almost overwhelming.

Colin is an incoming freshman at Akron. He’s joining his brother Cam who is the current captain and club president. In this episode we touch on why he chose Akron, what he’s excited about, and his journey.

JD Dunn came to Akron from Washington State University and is currently getting his Master’s degree while working for the D1 strength & conditioning program.
