Should College Baseball Change The NCAA Tournament Format? & RPI Bingo - Weekend 12 Preview
Published:

The 11.7 podcast crew (Jack, Noah, Dimitri, and Ben) opens with no plan, plugs Homefield Apparel, and dives into “RPI season,” joking about teams canceling midweek games to protect their resumes while tracking an RPI Bingo card (including canceled games like UNC–Queens and Oklahoma–Texas Tech). They recap midweek results and moments such as Coastal Carolina throttling UNC, UCLA beating UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine upsetting USC, Texas winning on a walk-off two-run homer, Oregon ending Gonzaga’s 14-game streak with a nine-pitcher bullpen game, and Nebraska walking off Kansas State. The group riffs on social media delusion, broadcast quality issues in Ole Miss–Mississippi State at Pearl, and debates potential NCAA baseball tournament changes, strongly opposing expansion or altering the current format. They finish with Weekend Series Pick ’Em selections, highlight disagreements like South Carolina at LSU, and set an Uber Eats bet on that series. 00:00 Cold Open Chaos 00:24 Sponsor Shoutouts 01:35 RPI Bingo Season 05:51 Open Dates Banter 09:17 Calling The Bingo Shot 10:42 Midweek Recap 14:16 Fanbases And Rivalries 23:54 Kentucky Stock Pile On 32:16 Dont Touch The Tourney 33:31 32 Hosts Pros And Cons 43:20 Reseeding And TV Matchups 47:32 Rivalry Omaha Dream 49:53 Super Regional Seeding Talk 50:16 Banter and Bullying 51:54 Nerd vs Dork Debate 53:11 Weekend Pick Em Setup 54:41 Standings and Uber Eats Bet 57:47 LSU Stock Hot Take 01:00:26 Creighton vs St Johns Picks 01:02:53 TCU vs Oklahoma State Picks 01:06:54 Southland Showdown Lamar vs SELA 01:10:47 OVC Rule Never Fade SEMO 01:13:21 South Carolina vs LSU Chaos 01:27:34 UCF vs Arizona State Finale 01:30:58 Locking the Bet and Sign Off

College Baseball Weekend 11 Recap: Kansas Sweeps, Pitt Surges, SEC/ACC/Sun Belt/American Shakeups
Published:

The 11.7 podcast recaps weekend 11 with a focus on major risers and fallers across college baseball. Kansas sweeps Kansas State on the road, boosts its RPI to 12, and looks like a serious Big 12 title and hosting contender, while UCF rebounds with a road sweep at Utah and Cincinnati builds momentum with ranked series wins despite a midweek loss. UCLA remains No. 1 despite a shaky series vs Sacramento State, and USC’s sweep of Purdue highlights resume questions tied to quad records. In the SEC, Florida’s Friday strength (Aidan King) contrasts with series losses, Texas A&M earns credit for a series win and Jorian Wilson’s impact, Georgia’s Caden Aoki delivers huge innings to win Game 3 at Ole Miss, and LSU’s bullpen collapses in a sweep at Mississippi State, pushing LSU toward missing the postseason. The ACC segment covers Pitt’s explosive week, Wake Forest’s collapses vs Georgia Tech, Florida State got swept by Stanford, and bubble/hosting debates. The show ends with discussion of Sun Belt and other conference races plus the 11.7 Field of 64 projector and bubble watch.

College Baseball Weekend #10 Recap + Conference by Conference Breakdowns
Published:

All right, what's up college baseball fans welcome to another episode of the 11.7 podcast weekend number 10 recap episode is brought to you and everybody by home field apparel use promo code CWS 26 for 15% off incredible launch this past Friday on home fields 2026 college baseball pullover I forget what they're called pullover classics whatever they are they're freaking sweet they launched eight new teams plus restocked I believe 16 other teams from the past I know that like Oregon State Texas and somebody else sold out within like three hours I believe they have some teams remaining I haven't double checked their website so maybe you guys as listeners should double check and see what's still available and what has sold out but really just check out their whole site like they're a great partner of ours they've been a partner of ours for three plus years and like it has grown tremendously in the last three years and that's why they continue to invest in college baseball so homefieldapparel.com use our promo code for 15% off it's CWS 26 our graphic on YouTube Dimitri it says CWS 24 which shows how long we've been with the guys they were super pumped and happy with the promotion and everything from this past week with Jackie Robinson day last Wednesday check them out all right you know it's funny you know it's really funny this is how long it's been since you and I have done a just two-man episode and we actually use the correct graphic because I think the last one we have the one that was hiding behind our cameras or whatever but this is the actual graphic that we were using for two-man shows and it was 2024 so CWS 24 Jack was with us in 24 we were doing a lot of three-man shows that was when we first started putting the pod back on YouTube you know funny story Dimitri I'll tell this to the the listeners before we get going we were so early to YouTube like our 2019 season we put I think most of our podcasts on YouTube but it was just me James and then you would be the third chair and we had like a thousand YouTube subscribers from just posting interviews we had with players and coaches and then after 2019 we stopped with YouTube for 2020 2021 2022 and then 2023 like we went four years without a YouTube channel and it's hilarious that we actually had to start a new YouTube channel because we forgot the login to our first YouTube channel with like a thousand so 11.7 is so uh we can't even get a little sponsorship code promo code correctly we can't remember password we just throw shit up and see if it sticks that's basically what we do we have yeah times have changed we invested so hard into audio only for the longest time and like I still think audio is the best way to listen to a podcast like that's what I do whenever I'm listening to shows whether I'm working or working out you know I think pod or driving like listening to a podcast while driving is incredible but yeah like we found out that we probably should have continued to invest into YouTube and all that stuff but I'm happy where we're at now I think what we're gonna do today last Sunday we were so nervous that it was gonna be a bad podcast because of the field of 64 live build and it turned out like our most of our audience and fans thought it was great what I want to do today Dimitri is an old school 11.7 style podcast where we go conference by conference look at the conference standings figure out like hey is this a one big league like who's gonna come out with the bit like we're gonna go share screen Warren Nolan conference by conference and discuss what's going on in this college baseball world as we go through it we will hit on key points from the weekend teams that stood out made statements we'll do the whole nine yards there but I love the classic conference by conference let's look at every single conference and figure out who is who's performing who needs to get some work done and all of that so while you pull that up I'll let you share your screen because if I if I run Warren Nolan the same time I'm running restream my computer sounds like a jet engine it's just hyperdrive and I'll do the screen share we need to invest in a better computer for you we I've been trying to get you to buy a new computer and I was willing to send you some fun but you just won't do it but now you're you know you're in a stable location I think it's time to get you one yeah I got a nice setup nice office in here spare bedroom I've started decorating a little bit I think I got to show this off by the way hold on are we gonna look at this actually this isn't even Minute Maid Park this is Enron Field from 2001 I believe let's see what does it say on the back doesn't give a year but yeah Enron Field it says retro like it's perfect dude it's a perfect desk toy I cannot wait until I have a setup where I have like college baseball jerseys behind me memorabilia all that stuff well you can make that happen whenever you want I know I just need to hang them all over my kitchen and all over the place yeah um where was I going with this oh do we actually have to discuss something real fast before we get into the conference by conference what Michigan just did to Dayton one hilarious two don't know if it's illegal or I don't know if it's legal and three I think this might be the first domino of many and for anybody that hasn't seen it yet Michigan sitting like 41 42 in the RPI they had a midweek game coming up against Dayton who's 199 roughly in the RPI well Miami Ohio's 57 in the RPI having a great season in the MAC and they had a midweek game coming up Tuesday against Bellarmine well Michigan just canceled their game against Dayton and I guess behind the scenes this is all legend I don't know the story or anything but Michigan just canceled the game probably reached out to Dayton like hey you know not gonna play you guys Tuesday we have another sorry you talk too much well no not that but just like I mean I'm just I'm literally speaking by in terms of RPI sorry you suck too much we can't play you we're too good for that for what we're trying to do it was probably more of like hey listen all of our jobs are like very important to us and we have to do what's best for the team and playing you guys is not it's a lose lose so you guys get to go play Bellarmine and Miami Ohio is going to host us we're going to drive down Michigan Wolverines are going to drive down and play at Miami Ohio and it's a quad one game for both teams like how nice is that yep if you're if the team is top 60 in the RPI and you're on the road that qualifies as a quad one game so Michigan my advice to you is do not lose this game don't lose it but there's a couple other points I want to talk about to like I don't know the legality of this because I know every team when building their schedule have to sign contracts I'm talking out of my ass here I don't know the facts about these contracts but I'm pretty sure there's probably financial guarantees one way or the other that I mean Michigan might have to throw Dayton a few bucks here there like I don't really know but this is a slippery slope that we all know college baseball is a copycat league when one team does something the whole country feels like hey we can do that too and pretty soon we're probably gonna see somebody like name a school here I don't know I don't want to throw anybody I'll tell you I just pulled up I just pulled up the Tuesday schedule yeah let's try to do a copycat league of our own here um for example let's see who is another bubble-ish team um I should have been a little more prepared for this but for example for example let's just pretend let's pretend Campbell or Charlotte was on the bubble they're playing each other let's say Charlotte was 45 50 Campbell was 200 Charlotte would be like hey we're gonna go play UNC Greensboro or we're gonna go play Wofford or somebody that's real kind of close to us but they're 60 RPI like Wofford is 70 or something so that's the kind of idea it would be like Florida state go to North Florida so North Florida was 200 Florida state was having a bad year I'm just trying to that's kind of what it would be like yeah well I just think that this is gonna start happening a ton in the Carolinas and in like the Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas region of the world where they're like hey you know how we told you we're gonna play you guys May 8th well we're actually not we found another opponent I'm telling you this is about to be a very very slippery slope like it could be I'll let you wait wait wait let me finish my point I do agree with these schools like you've got to do what's best for your team um it is very shady and not um I don't know whatever you want to call it but at the same time look at like college baseball fans should be pretty happy about this because we get better games better matchups on the midweek and to anybody who ever said who is anybody who ever tweeted the phrase midweeks don't matter you have to take it back or else you're not allowed to watch the games so if LSU was fighting for their lives and they schedule uh Southern Miss in a midweek those LSU fans can never say midweeks don't matter ever again and not to pick on LSU I'm talking about any school in the country no no LSU is a good example they're they're in a position where they're like dude we need every opportunity we can get to keep boosting this RPI up the higher it goes the more leeway we have with our FCC schedule our FC record for example if let's just say Tulane with a 38 RPI having a really good season and they were scheduled to go play Southeastern who's 180 RPI you call up Southeastern hey uh we can't we're not sure if we can make it um and Tulane called us saying they're looking for a midweek logistically it just works out better and bam you're done end of conversation you go play Tulane and get your quad one game what I hope this doesn't eliminate is my favorite tradition in the sport and that is the crazy excuses we would get for RPI cancellations because the fad in the sport before what Michigan just did with Miami Ohio was the random cancellations of midweeks it's like hey forgot to tarp our field last Thursday um it's a little wet it's dangerous can't play or hey all of our guys have class uh at this time so like we can't travel and like finals are coming up so like we need to make sure we make good grades the excuses we would get were laugh out loud hilarious and uh we're not going to be getting those anymore but maybe we will like who knows these college baseball coaches can be creative manipulative uh deceiving like that I mean it is what it is like I don't think I'm speaking out of turn by saying that um they're not dumb they're all smart they're all trying to save their jobs and get into the postseason so I think we're about to see a lot more of this that's why I think the final three week midweeks should be TBA if TBA them we'll figure out who's around us that also need that high-end marquee high RPI resume building game TBA all of them and if you are in a position where you're like we don't even need a play then don't even schedule one don't even fill it but if you are in a position where you need one then you find someone around you or depending on where your road that theory upcoming series is that weekend you go to a team close to there or something so I mean I think it's I think it's the I'm to Michigan credit I don't want to talk about this too much but I think it's hilarious and I hope people understand what happened to Michigan credit why are we going to throw season away when we have a chance to keep building on it we're not having the best season ever but we're not having a bad season we're right there on the cusp why not build to it why not just keep going with this thing and try to help build it because the last thing you want to do on selection Monday is ah you were the last four in or the last first four out let's say they win that game against Miami Ohio their RPI goes up a spot it's a massive difference right no and I want to end it on this like I'm not I'm not talking ill at all about Michigan or any future teams that do this personally like I'm always a guy that's like hey play your schedule like you set your schedule play it win your games and like the rest will figure itself out but this is a win-win Miami Ohio is pumped because they get to host Michigan and Michigan is pumped and then meanwhile like Bellarmine and Dayton like that's a winnable game now for both of them that's another win they can put on their schedule that they probably wouldn't win um facing a Michigan or Miami Ohio uh and yeah I mean I think it's I think it's a win-win all the way around but I just I mean I hope this doesn't I hope this doesn't come into like dozens and dozens of teams are doing this every Tuesday because that would get exhausting yeah sure yeah I mean I know you um yeah I mean sure yeah like the reality of the situation is Michigan doesn't want to play a sucky Dayton team and Miami Ohio is like we'll host Michigan absolutely well why would we say no to that so it's a win-win for both teams to get another marquee game on their schedule yep cool cool all right let's go conference by conference we're making do you want to do you want to talk about a couple do you want to talk about a couple things from the weekend before we get into that sure um like uh so hey the people want what interests them the most and I want to bring up something Boston College on uh on Friday afternoon sat in or tie the NCAA record for a stolen bases in one inning and people were clowning on me eight with the record or and they tied it with eight and then they finished with 13 overall but the overall NCAA record is 22 held by Akron or against Akron or something like that a lot of people were ganging up on the dude catcher for uh having a noodle arm blah blah and I go you know whoa pump the brakes the pitchers were not helping him at all full leg kick the art of holding runners and um controlling the running game had seemed to been lost and I see it more and more in the sport in baseball in the big league the minor league because the run value of every pitch just go in your full wind up and throw your best pitch possible don't like kick don't change anything and so it'll be another data point I'm sure in five to ten years from now we'll come back on it or something like that but the point is Boston College if you're not familiar their head coach is Todd Interdonato and if you know where he came from Wofford College you would know they were the most one of the most if not the most annoying team to play in college baseball all they did the word annoying is an understatement it was it was an absolute disaster to have Wofford on your schedule Dimitri I mean we both played against them it was hours and hours and hours the week leading up to the Wofford series of everything from holding runners on bunt coverages first and thirds rundowns pick offs like we didn't dude the week going like leading into Wofford we didn't even take BP it was field work for three hours a day Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday shoot we probably even had field work Friday before the game I mean it's it's a special style of baseball it's fun it's like rejuvenating not a lot of teams play it anymore but they are always looking to take the extra base and just absolutely pester you to death I repeat myself a ton but I truly mean it's the triple option of baseball they beat you in so many different ways and it's like you're not fundamentally sound you'll get buried and like want to quit like dude we're not stopping it now we're never going to stop it thank you for uh saying what I was going to say by the way um you took the words out of my mouth by the way um you took the words out of my mouth man you took the words out of my mouth I was just going to say that Wofford the annoying thorn in the side baseball because when you get on the mound all you want to do is just focus on pitching they bunt they hit and run they steal they do all this stuff and they create chaos he brought that style play to Boston College they're currently 24 in the RPI 14 and 7 in the ACC they have a lot to play for ahead of them and don't hate on the player hate on the game Todd Interdonato brought his style play to Chestnut Hill and look they're finding success so I think that's a testament to Boston College to Blake James the AD there for taking a risk on a guy like him and so I mean that's credit to them it was a risk um I think he's an unbelievable coach and like I've had the opportunity to talk with him a few different times especially like recently at ABC I talked to him a good bit um but he is somebody that he's never made a postseason in his like I don't know how long he's coached definitely over 10 years 10-15 years he's never made a regional even though when his last three years at Wofford they were a 40 to 45 win team they won the SoCon every year um they just I mean the SoCon tournament is not set up you know can I add to that yeah winning 35 to 40 games take out now making a regional winning that many games at Wofford is an accomplishment in itself 100 you know how hard it is to get good players and win ballgame to Wofford it's no disrespect to Wofford it's really difficult yeah uh I mean we'll have to see but that's possible I'm sure nothing is off the table another thing I want to talk about that we probably won't get to when we're breaking down conferences is there was a 21 inning game three innings away from tying the NCAA record of 24 innings for the longest game in college uh 25 innings the longest game in college baseball history between St. Thomas and Northern Colorado and there was as always some drama at the end the game ended on a walk-off balk walk-off balk and bases loaded Northern Colorado took the took the took the game got the win on a walk-off balk people were debating whether it was a balk or not I think that's beside the point 21 inning umpires already got paid their nine inning to work why the hell should they umpire 12 more innings for free end the game just just end the game and so that's what they did they ended it so that would be eighth I think longest game in NCAA history which is crazy yeah the the first game that comes to mind is like the 20 maybe 2010 or 11 Texas played a 21 or 22 inning game against Boston College Austin Wood went like nine no hit innings in relief uh Texas won it on a walk-off it was Boston College Texas in a regional golly what year was that maybe like 2009 10 11 somewhere in there but yeah and that is the record that is the record in 2009 Boston College Texas oh was it really in 25 innings 25 may or may or june whatever it was the regional game so but then Texas ended up almost winning a national title that year they lost to LSU in the championship wow yeah um how crazy is that we're talking long games in Boston College and then boom there it goes naturally natural segue yeah yeah um any other things on the weekend you want to talk about before we move on I mean I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned anything about Nebraska you're so hot like well you think that was going to go unmentioned in our big 10 discussion okay we'll save it we're going to talk about Nebraska don't worry because we're going to talk about how many regional hosts that come out of their number of bids so shall we dive into it let's dive into it head first um while you're pulling it up Noah keeps trying to join the stream he is on a cruise in international waters right now and his wi-fi is so bad that like he is able to join the stream but then no picture no sound comes out of him so um I told Noah to type up everything that he said like he all of his opinions and I will read them on the pod at the very end um and then Jack Jack was supposed to be right next to you Dimitri today he's in southern California just got done covering the UCLA series and he was going to drive down to San Diego and stay with you for a few nights um he sure is he got caught up he's not getting in in time for the uh the podcast tonight I can't stay up until 2 a.m so the plan is like either Tuesday or Wednesday we will do a pod with Dimitri and Jack pencil talk pen talk right next to each other um hopefully you guys don't swing on each other either yep um Ben I have an emergency before we do the oh boy I need I need I need to use the restroom if I don't we're gonna have a major problem well turn your camera off I can see your bathroom from here it's all right I'll take over from here um dude I think he has to poop I can see it in his eyes anyways um while we wait on Dimitri to uh to drop a deuce that the I don't know that we might have new new listeners on the show we might have people that haven't tuned in for a long time the uh these debates that Dimitri and I are about to get into with like is the ACC a seven bid league or an eight bid league always just puts a smile on my face because he plants his flag harder than anybody else I know and it's over just just watch all the listeners are I guess listen these are all hypotheticals but Dimitri will take this as fact oh he's back that was a quick poop no no just a little number one you had to pee because you chugged that Miller Highlife you disgusting animal hey don't don't don't air out my personal uh hobbies um all right so what are we doing ACC North Carolina they're the uh the clear-cut favorites right now after taking two out of three against Georgia Tech this weekend um really fun series like perfect broadcast that was something you and I were talking about pre-show how important a broadcast is to like like watching a game makes it 10 times more entertaining I thought like all the packages uh like graphic packages they had put together the the broadcasters like the announcers were great um fun watch felt like you were watching an MLB game uh but there was a point where Dimitri texted the group and he was like yo if UCLA drops a game to Minnesota or drops the series to Minnesota like does North Carolina go to the number one in D1 baseball and baseball America's rankings and I think you had a pretty good argument they've done nothing but like they had that one slip-up series against Virginia maybe the first or second ACC weekend other than that yeah other than that they've been flawless and like led by a dynamic one-two punch bullpen's been great for them Tar Heels are the real deal they're sitting in first place in the ACC all but I mean regional host to win to win game one the way they did and then come out because usually when you win a tight game one the other team comes back and wins a tight tight or kind of a high scoring game two and then it's free for all game three Carolina run ruled them on Saturday to take the series which was a loud performance dominated them um after beating Kate McKee who was extremely successful in ACC play this year so uh Carolina to do that I love their pitching staff I think their defense is phenomenal their offense can be very good at time it's not as electric as Georgia Tech it's not as eye-popping paper-popping whatever you call it but this was a really high-end series Georgia Tech salvaged the finale that Carolina was a swing away from tying the game or winning it in the ninth today so they had a five to two bases loaded or first and second I forget what so yeah I mean that is a loud win for North Carolina put all any doubts you had of them to the side right and I don't remember exactly what I said on Wednesday's show but I know I was very confident in Georgia Tech winning that series and sure enough wrong um now obviously North Carolina Georgia Tech great shape to host like their locks for the tournament borderline locks to host regionals just because there's not a ton of great regional hosting teams out there this year as of now things can change but it's going to be tough to get to 16 um what I want to focus on is you see that cut off like right below NC State so below NC State at seven there's Wake Forest, Louisville, Stanford, Cal, Clemson shoot you can even kind of throw Notre Dame I don't know I don't know if I want to consider Notre Dame, Duke, Virginia, Pitt um yeah Pittsburgh out Virginia Tech that's going to be a classic bubble team that teams are not enthusiastic about that could sneak their way in um Duke I think Duke Virginia Tech are both my vote Clemson and Cal Stanford I'm not really too sure about them and Clemson had not shown me enough to be optimistic they seem like they're close so like maybe I can be optimistic in the sense that Clemson had been in games that they could have won like don't you say two of them they're eight and ten you're right there in it in the thick of things so Clemson I'm not going to call dead yet with Stanford and Cal they're dead Duke 99 RPI 8 and 13 ACC play you're dead bang bang you're dead and then Pittsburgh everyone was trying to get with getting all mad at us we don't give enough love to Pittsburgh and the pre and the early out of conference early ACC play they're not good I mean they're they're just not good enough um the rest of the teams I mean they're they're just not good enough um Lorenzo Carrier the only thing they have in that offense it's like driving a Maserati into a trailer park um they're just not good enough um it's not like their own 18 and ACC play like bit 7 and 11 they're out dude they're out they're not out this is what I was telling the fiends while you're Louisville Louisville down to Louisville down to 117 RPI 7 and 11 so what is that one two three four five six seven maybe eight better than the ACC I think I think seven and comfortably probably gonna be eight could yeah I think could be nine could be let's see Clemson's remaining schedule all right so let's just go ahead and break it down real quick lost two out of three to Georgia Tech okay yeah yeah lost two out of three to Georgia Tech got swept by Notre Dame that hurt lost two out of three to Miami one two out of three against Stanford a bottom dweller team so that's not a marquee series win keep in mind that out of conference South Carolina series is not a marquee series win either so we still have yet to find one North Carolina lost two out of three Virginia lost two out of three so they don't have a marquee series win or anything to fall back on if they end up on the bubble Louisville Boston College Florida State Virginia Tech I think you got to win all four of those I think you have to win all four of them at least three at least three dude even if they go eight and four their last 12 eight and four you got to take this midweek against Coastal on the road yeah I mean I yeah uh eight and four that put them at 14 and 16 the RPI will be high I think that'll be in you've got to win at minimum three or eight ACC get eight more ace you got to go eight and four or better in the ACC or seven and five and win that Coastal game that's what I'm saying or play really well in Durham in the tournament yeah if you're if you go seven and five because because you can get the aggregated or what is it called the total conference win you can include your wins in the tournament so let's stay there it's so dumb by the way I know I know but I don't make the rules I don't make the rules it's just the way it is let's just say you're 14 and 16 in ACC play you go to Durham and you win two that's 16 ACC wins I think it should count for something because the tournament should matter you don't agree no not I mean I think winning the tournament should matter a little bit more but the I like I like to put value on the regular season and I like to crown regular season champs because it's such a grind it's way more difficult to be good over a 12-week span than it is a 12-week span than it is a four-day span but anybody can get hot in four days right but you're still getting good wins against good team in the tournament like you're still playing meaningful baseball yeah when your number four is going up against their number four on a Sunday at noon before selection Monday like it's like well well that means they got there that means they won a lot of games to get there should have won more regular season games there so anyway ACC seven maybe eight Clemson Clemson I mean Virginia Tech is not dead yet either like they're let's see let's see Virginia Tech 19 and 19 overall for those of you that are not aware you have to have a 500 or better record to be even eligible for an at-large bid overall record yep hey not a bad series win against record that's not a marquee win but it's not terrible you guys swept at globe life I just thought of something hilarious that we might actually see this year Virginia Tech might do the opposite with the midweeks where like they give away a good RPI opponent just to get another win on their schedule like hey like Alabama A&M come up here we'll pay you we gotta we gotta win we gotta be one game over 500 I mean it could happen Virginia Tech pay us we'll give you the blueprint to get it done so anyway guess what the globe life and yeah I mean one close game against Tennessee I swept or two lost two out of three to Georgia Tech on the road that's one quad one win lost two out of three at Virginia that's a quad one win so not terrible you didn't get swept by those two teams took two out of three against Duke that's good that hurts losing to Stanford two out of three hurts losing two out of three to Miami on the road not bad you got a win there lost to lost two out of three against Boston College that's a good team whatever on the road took two out of three against Pitt NC State you got to win the series right you got to win the series Cal you got to sweep that and Clemson so they've only got they've only got three series left yeah when you got to win you got to win every series and sweep Cal yeah they get five more wins they're on the bubble easily 14 14 ACC wins yeah but yeah but you got to remember if you're on the bubble you need as many metrics to go your way so let's say they go let's say they win two out of three two and three four and two sweep Cal seven and two that's 16 and 14 and you're floating around 500 couple games over 500 47 rpi it's possible I think Virginia Tech's not dead yet so I'll get those standings those standings are misleading because Georgia I mean Virginia Tech is 9 and 12 and they're in second to last place that just cannot be true why is why is why are they 9 and 12 in second to last place when they have better records than that is weird that is really weird why is that oh it's because you clicked on predicted they're predicting to go 10 and 20 oh that's what it is it was like Virginia Tech is not the second worst team in there you go there it is it was like Virginia Tech is not the second worst team in there you go there it is yeah I'm still sitting on seven maybe that's another reason why I said like from NC State below we need to have a conversation because like I was thinking eight teams will probably get in with a potential of nine yeah there you go seven maybe eight are we in agreement on that I'm saying eight maybe not so all these teams up here wake NC State we got to remember NC State just lost another weekend starter and a position player yeah they're banged up so seven I'm thinking seven and maybe eight if Virginia Tech NC State or Clemson or somebody like that somebody has a hot run at the end but all right American East moving on saw somebody tweeted us like how close was Binghamton to getting into the mid-major top 25 they were actually under consideration they're 12 and 3 in conference 21 13 overall 1 and 2 quad one 10 and 0 in the last 10 they won 11 straight games and sitting at 86 RPI they were on like our final like 10 10 teams list potentially get that 25 spot I mean right now Binghamton is the the clear front runner three and a half game lead over second place yeah obviously a one big league Binghamton was Maine's quad one win can we click on Maine and go to see who their one quad one win was Maine had the quad one win again Duke nope not Duke high point oh they did do they have wins over Duke and high point keep scrolling yeah that's about all they have two they lost a lot of games in a row yeah it's not scary hey hey they weren't they were they played Nebraska tough a hay market one run lost three run lost one run lost Dayton one run lost got blown out the other two went through a tough season bro bro I think Maine wait no don't go back to Maine I think Maine might be live they have a ton of one two and three run losses on their schedule when did they play Binghamton well I don't even know why it won't even let me click there we go wait so what do you want me to look at see when they play Binghamton like their first 20 games were on the road and they were a ton of one two and three run losses they play Binghamton this or two weeks from now at Binghamton throw that on the picker two weeks from now at Binghamton throw that on the pick of two weeks from now I'll take Maine yeah but but dude three uh three and a half game is not that much three and a half is not that much Bryant might be done for though five games a lot to make up well in this 11 straight this conference it comes down to one week the conference tournament there's going to be no at large yeah conference tournament whoever gets hot yeah they just they just sweat Bryant too yep that's a wrap for the Bryant Bulldogs all right let's go to the American UTSA and UAB both tied first uh big weekend for the Blazers one two out of three against South Florida um UAB don't look now UAB a 33 RPI with six quad one wins let's not forget they beat Cincinnati on a Friday uh to open the year in Florida Florida on a Friday the next the next week so yeah you have it mixed up or flipped you're right you're right um but I mean my point stands like this is the best UAB team that I can remember in recent memory like they're comfortably in in fact if the the tournament started today they're borderline two seed 33 RPI oh yeah they're they're absolutely I mean six quad one wins is no joke I think that's a good resume so um UAB is I would say this is a two-bit league maybe I think it'll end up being a two-bit league unless like you get like an East Carolina UAB championship game and then the committee like rewards them both well uh UTSA is not in yet either I think they'll be in dude I mean I'm not I'm not saying they're not going to be in but what I'm saying is not like you can just shoo them in I mean their best their best I mean that was a good weekend in Houston they swept Ohio State swept Dallas Baptist um ugly loss against UT Arlington series win over East Carolina series went over right series went over South Florida series went over Charlotte like this team pending some crazy collapse the next three weeks four weeks they their RPI should be okay I mean yeah they've got UAB that's that's gonna be a massive series last weekend of the year get them at home they get them in San Antonio they get them in San Antonio that might be for the regular season crown yeah you know what's crazy about the American three weeks ago we had Charlotte like penciled in to our field of 64 like they were in the thick of things one and nine in the last 10 games their one win came today they lost 10 straight at one point they're they're in this they're in the cellar of the American and like that was a really good team click on Charlotte real fast because they started this season very good um I don't know what happened but like they they swept Wright State keep scrolling down it's funny you glazed right you you glazed right over the series loss to San Diego that's another disappointing team is San Diego we thought they were gonna be great this year not good well we know we were very skeptical on them and then they lost their starting shortstop and we're like yeah we're out yeah um split a midweek with with uh Virginia swept Western who's ended up having a good season St. John keep your eye out for them in the Big East we'll talk about them in a little bit um yeah I mean it's just they're they're just not good enough yeah but yeah I mean I think the American will get minimum two teams and maybe a third I think the prize is in two out of three to Memphis we were so high on the owls like owls all the way back and then they lose two out of three to Memphis two out of three to Memphis they get two out of three they might have got swept yeah they got swept wow by a 15 do Memphis hit 12 win coming into the weekend how did that happen but anyway that got the a son North Alabama is leading the gold division uh by one game over three different teams Central Arkansas Austin P and Lipscomb and then the graphite bracket who named this dude how this conference became so bad it's honestly embarrassing it is last year of the a son I think right aren't they joining with the WAC and making the United Athletic Conference next year I'm not I don't know I don't know with the United like I think some of the a son teams are joining the United Athletic Conference which is the WAC and then I think the a son actually might still be a conference uh next year but there's no way there's no way North Florida Jacksonville Florida Gulf Coast Stat Center joining any type of conference called the WAC no it's I think it's Austin P first of all by the way can I say a few things about this conference it is pathetic it is pathetic that they added North Alabama Central Arkansas Bellarmine Queen West Georgia East they have no business being in this conference I'm not saying I'm not excusing how bad Florida Gulf Coast deaths in our this year but Jacksonville as well but but these used to be these were proud program Jacksonville had more first rounders than 99% of the schools in the country um this these programs used to be really good maybe they haven't adapted to the modern day modern landscape of college baseball but some of these schools have no business being in a conference with some of these other schools so the a son I'm confused on what your point is they wouldn't have a conference if it was just four schools what you want to get rid of all of the schools except for Jacksonville Florida Gulf Coast that's well well there goes our chances of ever getting credentialed at an a son tournament or anything I don't think I'm very worried about that but well let's focus on what we do have in front of us um I know they I don't know their exact conference tournament schedule this year I think they changed it they used to have the wacky conference tournament that was top three seeds no the top four seeds were in one bracket five through eight were in the other and then the top three out of the top bracket advanced and then the winner of the bottom bracket advanced for like a semi-final it was kind of cool I'm I liked it but I think they changed it this year it was either way it's a one-bid league um I don't even know like the divisions don't mean anything other than um regionality like so you don't have to travel every single week across time zones but uh yeah I mean like honestly good for north Alabama 11 and 7 leading the gold bracket that's a school that has been division one for six seasons now um Austin P central Arkansas Lipscomb right there I know they're terrible they're all terrible they're all terrible every team in this conference is terrible just be objective for please be objective for five seconds they're all terrible we could say that about like seven different conferences which is which is the reality of the situation nine games under 500 18 games under 500 15 games under 500 eight games over 500 within 123 rpi three games over seven 21 under seven under 200 so 500 four over one under one two three four teams in this conference have a winning record all right fair enough I mean it's just a bad conference and I played in it for three years and it's bad it kind of sucks to see where it's ended up who won this conference last year was it Stetson Stetson made a regional last year yeah yeah Stetson uh Stetson played well in the Auburn regional last year and got mad at us for wanting Stetson to win it was like dude but oh okay it just clicked for me last year Stetson had a very old team because we pre-season ranked in top 10 in the mid-major top 25 and then and then they got the automatic bid over Florida Gulf Coast because of the rain oh that's right yeah they waited it out like all day Sunday or Saturday and they couldn't get it in that's right forgot about that so yeah it's an unserious conference I am a little interested in North Florida 14 before they got yeah let's just take a look real fast Sacred Heart Quinnipiac Presbyterian at Alabama how'd they play at Alabama 7 to 2 9 to 3 12 to 2 yeah I mean this is tough at a conference I mean dude I'm still doing well yeah they're they're I mean Stetson Jacksonville hey even Florida Gulf Coast might not be having a great season they have a very good Friday Night Guy two-way superstar in Dempsey so Friday Night is not an easy win against Gulf Coast so yeah I think yeah we'll see what happens here but if they get through these next two weeks in North Florida should be the favorite to win this conference I agree all right to the 8-10 so the 8-10 if anybody had St. Joseph's St. Joe's projected to win this conference why do you keep saying St. Joe's by the way what do you mean isn't it St. Joseph's nobody on this earth calls it St. Joseph's but St. Joe's is a basketball thing that's only a basketball thing I thought are they known for anything other than like that 2003 basketball team I don't know I don't think they've ever made noise in anything other than that 2004 maybe I don't know whatever year that was they made the final four and were undefeated in the regular season like their uniform say St. Joe's I remember that anyways if you if you had St. Joe's preseason to win the 8-10 show me proof and I'll Venmo you because they're having the best season in school history 25 and 12 16 and 2 in conference and that's coming off a weekend series win over George Mason like RPI ranked 44 how I looked at their schedule on Saturday night I don't understand how they have a 44 RPI other than they're just winning a ton of road games yeah pull it up I was curious too I mean it's but you have to remember look at this oh no restream takes so much CPU all right okay RPI 44 strength to schedule 117 interesting got a win against high point that's a quad one win they played on the road at Sacramento on the road at Wofford on the road at Bucknell dude they played 99 of their first 20 games on the road yeah which is normal like that's not unheard of for a northeastern school no no but they uh yeah I don't know what the deal is I don't know what the deal is I just don't know how this schedule turns into a 44 RPI because they're 25 and 12 that's why and they're 13 road wins but they have six top 100 games total 13 road wounds is a lot that's what I was saying I think that's the only reason why they're this hot now I mean good for them um but it would be crazy to see them as they'll be in the 80s in a couple weeks yeah I imagine you're right there'll be it'll be it'll be 60 plus in a couple weeks do you do you think they win the tournament the a10 tournament no I I still think I still think Jordan Mason or VCU I I picked Dayton preseason to win this conference that has looked uh like dog water but Jordan Mason and uh VCU have intrigued me they look bad this weekend not you know I know which is why I didn't want to bring it up but they have intrigued me so this conference as a whole had one two three combined quad one win VCU had one of them Jordan Mason and St. Joseph St. Joe's whatever all right let's move the big 12 big 12 first place by two full games Kansas Jayhawks with another big series win on the road at Oklahoma State Demetri I know you have some thoughts about Oklahoma State you're letting them rip pre-show do you want to you want to say your thoughts I'll start with the positive Oklahoma State ballpark State ballpark O'Brien I think it's the top 10 ballpark in the country it's a multi-million dollar professional ask minor league gorgeous ballpark that is there on campus maybe slightly off campus Oklahoma State O'Brien a beautiful outfield seating just state-of-the-art facility their broadcast is terrible their score bug is terrible and this is a team that has significantly underwhelmed I mean dude we've got two everyday big leaguers from Oklahoma State in the big leagues already and they were just on this team two years ago and Carson Bench and Nolan McLean you can make your argument they weren't that healthy enough whatever but I thought they were healthy enough if you build around if you had significant pieces around them and your coaching staff gets the most out of these players this is a super this should have been a super regional Omaha team at least one time in the past four or five years they always feel like they host regional 23 and that was the the famous regional that it was like 21 to 10 every game it was but at the end of the day at the end of the day they didn't win it you know what I mean was it Oral Roberts Dallas Arkansas Arkansas Oral Roberts Washington Oklahoma State was it Dallas Baptist and Dallas Baptist but then I think they also hosted one in 22 in Arkansas we just said 14 Oklahoma State Oral Roberts Washington and yeah you're right in Dallas Baptist no but I'm saying I think they might they might also hosted a regional in 22 with yeah when Arkansas yeah and I think Oral Roberts was there too I don't remember they would host regionals a ton they hosted a regional in 24 didn't they with uh with CAGS we eliminated them on accident or I did I sent a tweet with CAG never CAG never played Oklahoma State they didn't play a regional or super regional where I thought they were eliminated and there was only one loss I gotta look this up no but last year last year they almost made some noise eliminating Georgia in their regional but I think that's been the consensus thought or consensus result with Oklahoma State they always come up short in regional they just come up short they're right there until the end and they come up short and I think this is a program and facilities and everything that shouldn't be that should not be the case so they won the big 12 tournament in 24 and they hosted yeah what's the name hit at Mamo home run in Oklahoma City no it was in Arlington back then it was at Oklahoma City in 2024 Dimitri no no oh I I was saying before that I'm sorry no 2024 they hosted a regional with Niagara and then Florida and we eliminated Florida on Twitter after their loss or sorry after their win seven to one win and then they lost twice to Florida so that was the CAGS team and then dude I think they also hosted a regional in 23 and 22 no they they host but they never they haven't made a super regional in forever you're I think you're right about that I can't remember the last time they've made a super they haven't made a super since I think I was in school they went oh and two in 2023 and regional lost to oral Roberts Dallas Baptist 22 Oklahoma State last yeah this is the 2019 was regional that the ball was flying Missouri State Arkansas and like ever there was a 29 to 15 game against Missouri State yeah Missouri State had like a 12 run lead on them yeah but their last super regional was 2019 seven years ago yeah that is tough and they haven't been to Omaha since when like the 2000s or 80s oh you're right you're going 16 you're right you're right so um but okay besides Oklahoma State there's way better team to talk about this conference Kansas Jayhawks are fighting to be a regional host West Virginia kind of slipped up a little bit uh nah but they're not taking care of the series against they lost Friday against Houston but then came back and won the series yeah but they lost that series to UCF at home um then UCF went on to lose the series this weekend or lose the series at Kansas and then lost drop the series to Cincinnati at home this weekend yeah it's a tough conference dude like look at those RPIs there's nobody in the top 20 there's 12 teams in the top 56 yeah 67 yeah um I think cans okay from just from a biz standpoint Kansas in West Virginia in Arizona state interesting case I'm not counting them in yet this is a team that's going to be on the bubble UCS they went from playing themselves into trying to host an Orlando regional to bubble TCU by the way I wanted to bring them up they're heating up the exact name I said that on the last podcast and you and Noah bullied me I said every year TCU just gets hot mid-April I don't remember bullying you hand up if I did but I don't remember bullying you I hand up if I did I just don't remember they finally found a Sunday guy he's been he's been off and he threw seven or eight innings seven no sorry six innings a one run ball today against Baylor he went six shut out and seven shut out his last three stars he's given up like two runs on Sunday I'm forgetting his name Zach something that's a big development for the frogs then yeah I mean I think I think you're bubbled I mean Cincinnati I don't think I mean 21 RPI is really good nine quad one win but you're eight and ten in conference I don't think the big 12 is a forgiving conference where you can have a losing record and get in you must be really who does Cincinnati have left what who does Cincinnati have left to play well it's like that right now I don't think you can have a below 500 record but if they're 500 with a top 35 RPI they're in lose series at BYU they lost home against Utah win lost Kansas at home got swept by Oklahoma State on the road took two out of three against Baylor took two out of three against UCF maybe they're heating up maybe West Virginia Houston Kansas State Texas Tech I think Cincinnati has everything in front of them that's a very doable schedule you got to win three of those series I think for them if you win if you win one of these yeah I think if you win this you don't have to win this West Virginia series but you need to sweep Houston and Texas Tech honestly yeah well there are eight well there are eight so if they win seven more games they're good they go seven and two that's 500 no sorry seven and five five hundred seven and five yeah I mean if they sweep Houston and Texas Tech a sixth win lose one of Kansas State to seven and two lose two out of three to West Virginia that's eight and four yeah so yeah I think they'll be okay yeah I think Cincinnati will be just fine BYU interesting uh we tweeted it out but if you did not see it BYU is an interesting team they're 49 RPI 99 and big 12 play if BYU were to make a regional they cannot play on Sunday so what that would probably mean is they would play Friday Thursday Friday Saturday and then if there's if necessary game they'll play that on Monday that is what I'm assuming will happen in the years past they either had their schedule accommodated or they had to forfeit the game so I think in the year 2020 nobody did they ever have to forfeit BYU baseball forfeit game postseason 1958 college rules BYU qualified but could not participate well that's just silly yeah they've had they've had to forfeit games because of their no game no athletics on Sunday's rule so but I think in the year 2026 that will not happen they have the new rule where the schedule needs to be accommodated for them so honestly Thursday Friday Saturday if necessary on Monday is perfectly fine with me what about you I mean there's just zero percent chance they would ever forfeit a game no Cincinnati wrote uh win lost to us uh got swept by West Virginia Cincinnati wrote uh win lost two out of uh got swept by West Virginia two out of three against Oklahoma State lost two to Baylor swept Houston lost two there yeah I mean I don't I don't see it happening they would have to play extremely well from here on out they basically they have to win that Kansas series to have a shot in my opinion in conference and they have Utah that dude I think they have a really good shot what are we talking about no dude they're 49 RPI three of those series were teams over 100 in RPI all right what if they win the next nine games in conference they're 18 and 9 it's Arizona Utah and Texas Tech I'm not saying they will but they 153 that's that's quad three games right there Utah at home that's quad two Siri Texas Tech on the road that's a quad three 126 and then you've got cans you I mean for their RPI to really move up you've got to win this Kansas series and take care of business against these other these other teams dude if they go 18 and 12 in the big 12 they're in well I mean if their RPIs stay to 49 yeah they have a shot but they can't drop anymore so what do we got here how many bids I think we're looking at maybe one host Kansas can't fuck up the big 12 didn't have a host last year did they TCU kind of got screwed if I remember correctly last year last year did TCU get screwed or did Georgia Tech get screwed or did both of oh what what wasn't it West Virginia they got screwed I thought it was TCU no you're thinking TCU they got screwed yeah I have it right here TCU 16 there it is you're right thank you thank you there it is Georgia Tech also won the ACC regular season and didn't host right yeah but by hold on but this RPI is the final one but by hold on but this RPI is the final one so I don't remember where TCU was going into the postseason because this is the final one right around 16 or 17 or 15 somewhere in there they were yeah they were right around here so yeah TCU didn't get the host so okay so yeah I think uh I think this conference has a lot to a long ways to go to even have a really much clearer picture I'm saying five five bids maybe one two three four five I think five is a safe number possibly six yeah yeah all right Big East we have Xavier at nine and three and then uh Creighton and St. John's both seven and two UConn seven and five disappointing year for UConn who used to be like Mr. Consistency they were in a super back-to-back years or two out of three years Stanford uh Super Regional and Oklahoma yeah they won the Oklahoma Regional and you know what's kind of sad about this conference is the uh the lack of quad one wins especially for how many games quad one games this conference has played 311 Xavier 0 and 5 Creighton 0 and 6 St. John's 0 and 4 UConn 0 and 1 Georgetown and St. uh Seton Hall so that is 3 and 16 322 326 wow 3 and 28 record against quad one opponent just like I'm not used to that out of Big East I'm really like they always sure honestly in the past it would be like Xavier 3 and 11 quad one Creighton 2 and 7 uh UConn 4 and 9 9 like they would have quad one wins but they're just not there this year yeah it's a one bid league it used to be like two maybe three bid league oh it's a one bid one bid no matter what yeah yeah I mean St. John's had a great weekend this weekend at UConn they they ended up winning the series which was nice so seven and two for the Johnnies they're the regional team from last year uh or one of the Big East get two teams last year I think they did right Creighton made it and Creighton and St. John's both made it um yeah I think I'm picturing Creighton at the Arkansas regional and I'm picking picturing St. John's at like yeah Creighton was definitely at Arkansas I remember that yeah and then St. John's made like the Virginia regional or is that two years ago no that's that's that's not last year oh you're right that was two years ago no Big East was a one bid league last year yikes um I don't see any Big East okay over here on this side downfall of the Big East man sad yeah one bit late conference all right Big South this one's interesting because Winthrop technically has the best record at 10 and two in conference High Point though I mean they're three and four in quad one games they had the series win at Florida they're 11 and four overall in conference but High Point also has big time midweek wins um pitching staff has been great they have my favorite player in college baseball and so John Oh left-handed Korean hitter he mashes um when does High Point and Winthrop play against each other because the rest of the conference like you can win the tournament and get in but I mean it seems like Winthrop and High Point are the only two second to last weekend at High Point yep in the conference tournament is at High Point as well but it's at the minor league park so it's not like yeah High Point rocker I'm Atlantic League now just I mean High Point's got a case they finished strong to get an at-large like could be a two-bit league you have to win you literally have to be North Carolina on Tuesday night VMI gonna drop it long was gonna drop it Winthrop keep it the same go up a little bit Asheville's gonna absolutely nuke it and then you have to win it you literally have to be North Carolina on Tuesday night VMI gonna drop it Longwood's gonna drop it Winthrop keep it the same go up a little bit Asheville's gonna absolutely nuke it nope one big league one big league that's unfortunate they've had a really good season 51 rpi you're gonna say automatically one big league yeah it is it's not going it's not going to get into the 30 it's not possible series win against Florida on the road and a series win against St. Joe's St. Joe's gonna be 80 dude I told you it's gonna be irrelevant I mean you want to see predicted results yeah predicted 36 that's what if they get in the 30 they can do it but I don't see it happening what do you can't play both sides of the coin you said that's one big league you're no we're not it's one big league not if it's a 36 rpi 36 rpi with four or five quad one win I'll stick I'll stick with my gun my gut one big league all right big 10 this is when are you talking about what so this is when you get to talk about Nebraska so go ahead what a weekend in Lincoln what a weekend at Haymarket Park the corn husker swept that team from Southern California did electric weekend setting all kinds of attendance record attendance record largest big 10 crowd largest weekend total attendance in crazy game on Friday night Mason Edwards struck out 12 over six inning game was over you thought USC had in the bag they bullpen soiled it but I will to Nebraska's credit they had runners on again Mason Edwards all game long season high and hits like nine hits in the game they were they were on him but he buckled down when runners were on he got out of the jam and then Nebraska the floodgates opened when the bullpen came in and they won on a walk-off wild pitch run ruled him Saturday throttled him and then Sunday throttled him again run ruled them again to sweep them loud weekend for the Huskers rpi of 14 Lincoln regionals coming I hope so dude I want to see it just as much as you do Nebraska's one of those schools that when they're good like when they're a good team it lifts the whole sport and I could only imagine what would happen if they were in Omaha like my god that place would be red just like it was in 05. I mean they have a lot to do left like you can't just wrap up the season now and say oh we're in the tournament we're going to host a regional you can't slip up the rest of the way but oh no you've got to finish yeah this was their last big weekend test they have a midweek at Kansas that is a revenge game uh from a few weeks ago where they lost they have Kansas state uh in the midweek Creighton at Creighton could be a I don't know like you got a lot left on your schedule but you should take care of at Illinois at Minnesota and at Ohio State three of your last four weekends are on the road but doable win the series but yeah I'm with you I think Lincoln will be hosted regional hey to Illinois credit they gave Oregon all they could handle this weekend Oregon came out victorious with taking two out of three Saturday game was electric Oregon was down big Illinois scored like seven or eight runs to kick a big old lead Oregon answered right back with seven to tie it up and then Illinois hit a walk-off bomb to win game that game on Saturday and then uh Oregon kind of put it to them today to take the series but that's that's a that's a dangerous series for Nebraska you got to take care of this here at Illinois that is a very dangerous series especially if they win Tuesday at Kansas holy that's dangerous holy look ahead bolt hey bolt this is my message to you keep your boys locked in we want a Lincoln regional keep them locked in stay hungry until stay hungry until May 16th please starve until May 16th uh I want to talk about Purdue 15 and 6 in conference sweep this weekend over Ohio State the Boilermaker is going to make a regional 55 RPI only played two quad one games this year but 27 and 11 overall sitting pretty in third place in the big 10 as long as they finish strong they're going to finish ahead of Oregon and USC and Michigan so I don't know like Purdue not a regional team by anybody pre-season nobody I don't think anybody ever projected Purdue to be good this year but after that round rock tournament um I remember when they played Oregon State maybe Baylor and Southern Miss off the top of my head like they were highly competitive in all of those games so I think Greg Goff and the boys all just home stretch finish the home stretch and you'll be in the postseason let's see what what Purdue got left so yeah that round rock two out of three win over Oregon State is nice they lost that close when I remembered Southern Miss I remember that game yeah they got walked out so they've got oh there it is Indiana State at USC and then they play Murray State on the weekend they only have three series left three big 10 left they only have three series left three big 10 left who are the last two Indiana and who Iowa if they take this series gives USC at home tough place to win um a ditto field if they win that series fire up the engine the Boilermakers might have a shot they got to or at least not up the engine um how funny is it we just we just glossed over 21 and O UCLA by the way what I mean what hey I think they're you think they're going to host let's see if they can host they might even super host let's see Sacramento State is going to hurt their RPI Michigan State's going to hurt their RPI tough one again if you win the series in Oregon I think they're going to host they're going to host no matter what what are you talking about damn you couldn't even catch the sarcasm there uh sometimes I can't tell with you you say some outlandish obviously UCLA obviously but Ben how many bids here USC is an interesting um situation it's tough oh and eight against quad one oh and eight no 15 RPI is a sign of fresh air but yeah oh and eight quad one with no more quad ones left I don't think I mean both of their most toughest series on the road they got swept they did great they did great against Cal Poly they did great against Rice they did great against all these teams but the committee if you want to host a regional on campus you you cannot get swept by the two best teams on your schedule and they lost the midweeks at Santa Barbara and against Oregon State pretty ugly yeah they need to worry about just making the tournament right now because like if they lose this weekend to Purdue the wheels might have fallen off um let's see what uh Warren let's see what the predicted results is predicted RPI at 12 but what does that have them doing to sweeping Purdue sweeping run sweeping the rest of their games and losing to Oregon on the road wow I mean they can do it they've beaten yeah if you're in competition all year I don't know I think 10 will get four I think it'll get a four-bid league Michigan could sneak in there if you see the perfect hot cold hot see I don't know I don't know if they qualify because they're just beating the teams are better than and then losing to the teams they're not better than but you could argue they're just going through a cold spell right now okay and dude the game they should have won out of those eight quad one games like they should have won at least two of them they should have won one against UCLA and Friday night against Nebraska yeah I don't know how many bids do you think I mean right now if the tournament started they're looking at five five bids yeah uh so we already talked about Michigan they're doing everything they can to get a bid to get in so what did you what was your number how many bid I mean safely for potentially five UCLA Nebraska Oregon USC and then you're then the fifth one of the wild card I think two of the team two of the teams between Purdue USC and Michigan will get in two hoes for four locks to make the tournament I think I'm good with that yep yep yep yep oh no dude I don't want to talk about this I don't want to do this I'm going to cry why three-way tie for first place this was supposed to be a three bid big west yeah I mean we're not going to it's going to be a one bid one bid if Santa Barbara wins the tournament two bids if somebody else I think Santa Barbara will for sure without a collapse get in the tournament they're tied with Cal Poly UC San Diego both at 12 and 6 Fullerton one game out 11 and 7 they did Fullerton beat Dax Whitney on Friday night this past I know how wild is that yeah like in the picture by the way I'll
