This is an interesting episode. I felt compelled when I recorded this to discuss why we need to stop living in a victim state, and I don't want to discount our experiences for being hurtful and harmful to us but there's always a message in each one. Sometimes you're walking through life ignoring the voice that's telling you which way to go and you need to fall on your face to open yourself to the possibility of something new. There's also a school of thought that believes that we set our own course and they include traumatic experiences that send us on journeys that don't always feel good to our physical self but feel like the most fun to our energetic bodies. This week I'm sharing some of my truth with you all and i'm expressing MY DESIRE FOR YOU to rewrite your story. When I say that I mean I want you to rewrite your past as your own hero and to write your future as you want it to be. It's so important for us right now to be making a shift. I saw about 3 months ago on her Instagram where she was talking about making in the "in between" space, that place in between understanding and acceptance, right before you can reach the JOY level. In this episode of Course Correction I talk to Jenn Ekeoba, she is an extraordinary writer and creative thinker, and in this episode we both discover how much magic lives inside of each of us. Her resolve astounds me, as a woman, mother, and overall human being. Through great loss she learned that everything happens for a reason and that those experiences are taking place to make you a better version of yourself, not to destroy you. In this episode, The Phoenix Rising was a moment of breakthrough for me in that we really got into the meat of why we have trauma being that is one of my focuses right now as I continue my shadow work--the acceptance and understanding that what you're going through, is what's growing you.

This week on Course Correction we're finishing up our conversation with Houston's realest Hoodoo Practitioner, at least the realest one I've met and interviewed! This week on Course Correction we have a Houston Hoodoo Queen with a lot of influence. I wanted to sit down with her because I was intrigued by her realness in how she speaks to her audience and is always standing in her truth. I wanted to find out from her how she got to be the person she is today. In this first part of a 2 part episode we touch on self love, how to know when it's time to speak to your ancestors and how she went from being signed up for Biblical Studies to a spiritual gangster at Hoodoo Banging. Locally, in Texas we're only allowed to use what is legal and that is CDB, we talked some about how to use caution when choosing your Cannabis products and how to find your perfect levels. This was a great conversation on entrepreneurship. Medical Cannabis and coming clean about the need to balance it all.

This week I sit down with @Sunnispeaks, a Florida native turned Atlanta transplant who is taking the vegan world by storm in her own right. Up and down the east coast this Vegan Chef spends her time trapping for those who enjoy vegan cuisine with an Asian Zing. With Summer heating up she's ready to travel the country to bring you live cooking like you've never seen. She's talking that shit and she is whipping up the goodness with her signature "steak" all over this United States and the Youtube!
